Obama undercut his "half the country doesn't like her" argument |
|
I see a lot of disingenuous folks here on DU and in the media, saying that Sen. Clinton undercut her supposed argument that Obama is unelectable, with her comment last night that she believes he can win against McCain.
So for those of you with selective memory, Obama undercut his argument as well.
This is the same man whose main talking point has been that the Democratic Party shouldn't have a nominee who starts off with half the country not liking/not voting for them.
But last night, he said Sen. Clinton could win against McCain.
But in a sign of just how dishonest the Obama supporters here on DU and in the media are, the focus has mainly been on her saying last night that he could win.

4. and the only memorable moment? what is the press talking about? |
|
"Yes. Yes. Yes!"
Hillary was handed the debate and then gave it to obama with this statement which is the only thing viewers will remember.

7. That's because her major pitching point to the superdelegates |
|
is that he is unelectable. Now that he is, according to her, what's she left with? (I'm betting *wink wink* and in a whisper, "America's not ready for a black president.")

9. I respectfully disagree and distinguish your comments. |
|
Her problem is that, behind closed doors, she is telling the super-delegates that he is unelectable in the general. Then last night she said "Yes, yes yes!" he was electable. Those stances are quite clearly inconsistent.
Obama, to my knowledge has NEVER said she is unelectable in the general. Rather, as you said, it's his belief that she is not the best nominee because of her negatives. He simply has not said she is unelectable. Just that he is the better candidate.
