I don't think the media has ever talked about this before. To bring this person up in a debate for the first time is odd. People never heard of him before last night and that it was brought up in a debate was just odd. Gibson asked Obama why he could be friends with this person that blew up buildings in Washington, DC and New York and was glad 9/11 happened. Has anyone on DU ever heard of Ayers? Also, did anybody else thing it was odd to bring up a person Gibson described as a terrorist of the 60's in a National Debate? If a scandal is going to be broke in the media shouldn't it be the media and not a debate?

William Ayers is a former leftist terrorist who went to prison and is now a Professor of English.

Obama knows him through a few community activities, and Ayers supported him when Obama ran for the state legislature.

It is a very loose and meaningless acquaintance among the many people Obama knows.

ABC has become a mouthpiece for Hannity by asking the question.

Hillary has become a right-wing mouthpiece for amplifying it in the debate last night.
