I apologize to everyone I offended here for calling Hillary a Bitch. |
|
I regret making that post last night and I would have deleted it, if I had been home at my computer. To all of you I offended, I am sorry.
Although I still think the elephant in the room is her staying in the race when it is mathematically close to impossible for her to win, I do think, after listening to her last night, that she is a very knowledgable person. She has a very strong grasp of issues and I believe would work very hard to make things happen.
Up until last night, I said I would never, in a million years vote for her if Obama didn't get the nomination. I still don't like her - but now I am eating my words because I believe I would vote for her over not voting or voting for McPain.

I lean toward Obama but I never saw Clinton as some kind of crypto-Republican. She'd make an excellent president; as Thom Hartmann points out, she'd probably be a lot better than her husband at the job.

You know good leaders are capable of inspiring. Obama inspires people to try and work together. He inspires hope and the better parts of human nature. Hillary also inspires. She inspires people to act their worse. She inspires anger and bitterness.
In the end, that is probably the most critical difference between the two candidates.

I'd never call her that, but I usually imply it in conversations with family and friends by pointing out her hypocrisy, disingenuous positions, and complete lack of understanding regarding the unworkability of some of her policy positions. so for me, it's one part personality and two parts substance. I'm all for Obama not because of his charisma, but because he's the first candidate in my lifetime who has put together cohesive policy approaches that my trained eye believes are actually workable. THe proof for me is in the pudding, not the buzz or lights or soundbytes or gossip.

After all they are the real enemy. I agree that Hillary did a good job last night. It didn't change my mind about who I want in the Whitehouse though. Barack was under attack last night so I give him a Mulligan. He has weathered worse and still manages to come out looking very Presidential. I expect him to loose PA by 10 points or less and rap up the nomination afterwards.

21. Yes. If I only liked and respected her as a person - I'd be happy. |
|
someone on the news mentioned that the other day - it was kind of an analysis of Mark Penn - and how instead of realizing that Hillary had a lot of repair work to do to make people like her more - he steered her instead toward "experience". As a result, her likeability has eroded even more.
I do think that knowing all she knows illustrates how much time and effort she must devote to reading and research and listening. It's a good indicator that she would devote the same amount of effort to getting things actually accomplished as well.

Hillary is just running a campaign, maybe some people think that she just should fold her tent but plenty of her supporters don't want her to do it.
Why? Because we honestly think that she's much more experienced and ready to be president than Obama. She's a policy wonk and truly cares for people. I think that she would be a great president. Obama is a talented man and I would like to have seen him run in the future, just not this year.
This has not been an extremely nasty campaign by most standards, despite what some of you think.
