"mccain has attracted some moderate Democrats"... BULLSHIT!!!
By winning back unhappy GOP voters, McCain makes it a race
By ALAN FRAM and TREVOR TOMPSON, Associated Press Writers
WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans are no longer underdogs in the race for the White House. To pull that off, John McCain has attracted disgruntled GOP voters, independents and even some moderate Democrats who shunned his party last fall.

Those folks are NOT democrats. Are they trying to tell me that they want a supreme court filled with scalias and thomas justices? No DEMOCRAT in their right mind would vote for that agenda, including a continuation of the Iraq war

If the country continues to vote for an extension of the bush policies, they can go to hell, and deserve it, as the dollar is destroyed, record gas and food prices, jobs offshored, and endless war, and yes the Supreme Court destroying our civil rights, right to privacy, and complete corporate takeover of America

You can kiss you social security, healthcare, and medicare goodbye

Are THE AMERICAN THAT STUPID, after eight years of this, they want MORE?

1. They're probably referring to zell miller and joe LIEberman
They still insist on calling them Dems

3. I agree it is a distortion of reality. I also find it hard to believe that after
what we have been through the past eight years the people really want it to continue

2. he may be attracting some
Dem's...those with a bit of a right lean of course...but I don't think they will stay..there is just about nobody out there pounding in the facts of what a McCain presidency really means...like the court stacking , more war, worsening economy, once we get our nominee the game really begins...i will bet McCain is going to sink like a tank in quick sand.

6. You named the three biggest issues that make me skeptical of this poll
Hell, even those Democrats who are against abortion, do not believe what mccain believes, no abortion, even in cases of rape, incest, or the life of the mother. It is just hard for me to believe this crap

Maybe once we finally have a candidate that will change. I certainly hope so

4. I assumed the story refers to the tons of new Democratic voters who went to the primaries
after temporarily changing their Party affiliation.

Another segment would be the folks who live under rocks and bridges, and who think Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11 and that FOX is fair and balanced.

7. Good perspective. Democrats had RECORD turnouts compared to the republicans
in many cases more than two to one

Perhaps this is desperation of the media to push a inconsequential poll

8. As an Obama supporter, I do not buy that. In fact I believe 99% of both
our candidates supporters will vote for the Democratic nominee, WHOEVER it is

The stakes are too terrible if mccain wins

EDIT: But with Clinton supporters cheering Hannity, for no reason other than to "gotcha" Obama, I don't have the faith you do.

12. but remember, some of both supporters I don't believe
Remember, right wing radio told their dittohead minions to go out and vote for Dems to lock up the Primaries longer. It doesn't shock me that an "independent" who voted for Bush in 2004 (please!) was swayed to support the Dems then suddenly changed his mind again. In fact, it doesn't surprise me because a lot of those Independents and "Democrats" never intended on voting Dem.

13. My sister is voting for McCain, she has never voted for a Republican in her life
She voted for Obama on Super Tuesday and changed her mind after the 3am question was raised.

She is not concerned about the Supreme Court, she is concerned about the security of the country, she never saw the ad, but heard it covered on the news, as soon as she heard it she decided she want McCain to make the decisions in a crisis at anytime of day. Her friends and kids in Colorado feel the same way.

not all Democrats are party first. Obama was wrong last night when he said dems had to vote for him if he is the nominee. They don't and not all will.
