11. Hilalry must have been tired last night
" that relationship with Mr. Ayers on this board continued after 9/11 and after his reported comments, which were deeply hurtful to people in New York, and I would hope to every American, because they were published on 9/11 and he said that he was just sorry they hadn't done more. And what they did was set bombs and in some instances people died. "

The quote she referred to was published the morning of September 11, 2001 in a interview associated with the publication of Mr. Ayers' memeoir. It had nothing to do with the attack on the towers.

13. Obama totally let that slide.
He showed remarkable self-restraint last night. He could have also made some mention that Stephanopoulos used to work for his rivals husband.

8. I especially liked the part where Hillary admitted to being a liar.
"I said some things I knew not to be the case."

10. I thought they both had good closing statements
And they really highlighted their different approaches and rationales for why they are the best candidate. Clinton was essentially saying that we saw what the Republicans did to John Kerry and we need someone who will fight back as hard and as dirty as necessary to avoid getting brought down by their attacks. Obama is essentially taking a gamble on the American people, betting that they saw what happened when they fell for the attacks and gave Bush a second term (a decision many Americans now regret) and that this time they will rise above it and pay attention to the issues. I think a credible case could be made for either. Normally, I would probably even say Clinton is probably right, but I think Bush is so unpopular that people may have learned their lesson, and I also think McCain has a lot more to lose than Bush did if his side gets too negative, even if it comes from a 527.

15. For me, the real "highlight" was Hillary's admitting that SHE LIED ABOUT HER LIES!
Not only did she lie to the American people, but then she continued to repeat it, in several
different versions, trying to see if she could make it float.

And then, finally, when she was forced to admit on national tv, she chose to say that she realized
her protestations about "Now, that's what happened!" were a tad less than truthful.

Has Hillary ever owned up to ANYTHING in an honest, responsible way?

Uhh...no.
Never will.
It's a question of character, which is one thing their $109 million can't buy.

19. Hillary did a superb job last night.
Anyone who was watching should be able to acknowlege that. The fact that Obama was clearly under fire from the beginning made it look more lopesided than it actually was though. Obama didnt wilt under intense pressure and at this point barring a major upset looks to be ready to take on anything the repiggies can dish out.

And she agreed to a different one. So far they have yet to agree to the same debate. I think he agreed to one on CBS.
