Poll question: I'm considering having people sign something at my Obama table this Saturday
I have a grassroots Obama table, independent from the campaign, that starts this Saturday at the Dane County Farmers Market in Madison, WI. Usually over 10-15,000 people go to the event and there is a political section where people go to for information and support.

Based on how Hillary Clinton basically has proven to me that she cares more for her career than the Democratic Party and proved it numerous times at last night's debate and throughout the campaign, I am considering having a clipboard for people to sign agreeing with me:

The Democratic Party Needs To Kick Hillary Clinton Out!

Based on how Hillary Clinton faces impossible odds to be the nominee and has actually endorsed the Republican John McCain over Barack Obama, she has earned the reputation of being a turncoat to the Democratic Party. I hereby agree that the Democratic Leadership needs to tell Hillary Clinton that she is no longer welcome to be a member of the Democratic Party.

Signed,

1. Don't be a horse's ass in front of the public.
If you want to have them sign something, have them sign a petition to give the debates back to the League of Women Voters. Here's the one I've been working on; I want to post it on Petition Online. What do you think?

Petition to Restore the League of Women Voters as the Hosts of the Presidential Debates

To: The League of Women Voters
Democratic Presidential Candidates and their Campaign Staff
Republican Presidential Candidates and their Campaign Staff
Commission on Presidential Debates

We, the undersigned, through this letter, request that you return complete control of the American Presidential debates to the League of Women Voters, and abolish the Commission on Presidential Debates.

The CPD debates have been called “news conferences” and “a reckless endangerment of Democracy.” Furthermore, the most recent Democratic Primary debate on ABC has completely exposed the modern American debate as a travesty and a sham.

The debates must be administered by an impartial, non-profit, citizen-friendly organization. The League of Women Voters is that organization.

Sincerely,
(signed)

2. Don't do it, zulch. As much as I think she's turning into Hillary Milhous Clinton,
I prefer that she and Bill just go away somewhere for a while. She hasn't yet approached Zell or Lieberman status.

3. If anything, I'd suggest recommending "censure."
As an independent liberal, my concerns are obviously far more focused on the slandering of a liberal perspective than on some partisan infighting. One of the reasons I'm an independent is due to seeing the accommodation of arsonists in party "tents" ... bedfellows with STDs. I've watched as blind partisanship and an appetite for power led the GOP to become the New Fascist Party ... absolutely anything for wealth and global power. I've warned for decades that the same takeover by global corporate interests is taking place in the Democratic Party. Partisans seem to be stone deaf to such warnings.

That said, if there's still ANY remnant of ideological integrity in the Democratic Party, partisans should censure anyone that pretends loyalty and undermines those principles.

11. No.......
Wait until after the election, maybe she will keep her word on supporting the nominee.
You risk hurting the party right now.

12. Nope. The Obama campaign wouldn't want to be a part of that.
If you want to set up a "Zulchulu Is Pissed!" table independent of the campaign, then I say go for it.

14. Remember the Golden Rule. If you're going to kick HC out, it is justified for others to
kick one of "ours" out (Rev. Wright? that "Socialist" Kucinich? Cynthia McKinney? _____________?)

Kicking folks out is the OPPOSITE of what Obama's about and that's WHY a lot of people are supporting him.

Please don't do this.

15. I will keep the idea on reserve...let's see what happens in PA
I'm convinced that she will not drop out if she is soundly beaten in Pennsylvania. As many have suggested, she is now looking at 2012 to run again and would rather trash and burn Obama than bow out gracefully.

Honestly, I wasn't completely convinced that it would be a good thing to do, but I would bet I would get at least 100 signatures this Saturday if I made such a petition available...

Thanks for your input.

If you are going to waste paper, make it something about all the horrible things McCain is going to do.
