If you are not outraged you are not paying attention.
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 01:20 PM by endarkenment
It really is that simple. If the depravity of discourse displayed in last nights mockery of an actual debate did not leave you with a nauseous feeling and a sense of complete outrage, then you have allowed yourself to be blinded by your partisanship or baffled by the false noise machine. This is not about who won, it is not about Clinton or Obama, it is how, once again, the Corporate Media is going to make this a presidential campaign about flag pins, and we are going to fall for it.

(edit: can anyone actually spell nauseous the first time?)

1. I enjoyed the brief interviews
of Joe Biden on Countdown tue night and Hardball last night. Breath of fresh air, that.

sad to say, the entire presidential selection process is lower than American Idol - much lower. Probably on a par with whatever that show was where people had to eat gross stuff. If you throw up you lose. That's how we'll pick a president. Whichever one can eat a bucket of maggots while getting humped from behind by a kangaroo gets the prize.

3. Did you see the Countdown after the debate?
Maddow and Buchanan were on, and they actually discussed some policy issues. Notably the candidates' answers about Israel / Iran. They all seemed taken aback by Hillary's answer.

Also Maddow did a brilliant job discussing the "controversies" about Barack. :)

9. I was actually avoiding any intra-party idiocy in my OP.
But i see that some of you are so bitter that you just cannot stop the nonsense. This is not about Obama v Clinton: Cage Fight Kitchen Sink Death Match. It is about Major Hornswoggle and Ms Lead. But that seems to have escaped your notice.

12. Obama could have answered the questions and hit home runs, he was
caught by surprise thanks to supporters like you who think

that no one cares about Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Patriotism or his elitism.

He should have been prpared for these obvious questions. He did not look Presidential last night and it's not some

blow-dried tv anchors fault.

11. Hillary and Barack.
I've been right here. I think it is pretty stupid what goes on in GDP. What goes on in GDP is a reflection of the dreck that passes for political coverage by the bullshit media system. They are still the major force in public discourse, the blogosphere is driven by the MSM, only rarely is the MSM driven by the blogosphere. DU is not ABC. Clue up. This is not a intra-party squabble issue.

17. Ok - sorry if I was rude.
The shitstorm in DU gets to all of us. I now assume the worst about everyone posting in here. We've reached the bottom of the cesspool. Perhaps our collective realization that the assclowns in charge are trying to make this election about flag pins will finally sink in. Perhaps we here will finally figure out that this is the primary, we have two fine candidates left in the race, one is leading and will most likely win, the other fought a good fight but will lose, and the november election will be ours if only we can make the election about the last 8 years of shameful mismanagement and about the real profound issues our republic is facing.

19. I need to spend less time her myself. I hate Hillary being trashed beyond belief and then I fight
back, say somethings just to hit back as hard as I have been hit. Yes, the media has been this way for years, they lied sooooooo on Al Gore, (check out Daily Howler) ,then Kerry now with the present two. They have no plans to ease off and they will elect McCain. This is the way it has been for ever. I just don't know how we stop it.

14. grrr...
nauseous
One entry found.

nauseous

Main Entry: nau·seous
Pronunciation: \ˈnȯ-shəs, ˈnȯ-zē-əs\
Function: adjective
Date: 1612
1 : causing nausea or disgust : nauseating
2 : affected with nausea or disgust
— nau·seous·ly adverb
— nau·seous·ness noun
usage Those who insist that nauseous can properly be used only in sense 1 and that in sense 2 it is an error for nauseated are mistaken. Current evidence shows these facts: nauseous is most frequently used to mean physically affected with nausea, usually after a linking verb such as feel or become; figurative use is quite a bit less frequent. Use of nauseous in sense 1 is much more often figurative than literal, and this use appears to be losing ground to nauseating. Nauseated is used more widely than nauseous in sense 2.
