Candidates differed on Class Action Act, Energy Bill of 2005

Obama voted with the Republicans, Clinton with the Democrats.

Please explain.

1. My understanding of the energy bill

was that it was a mixed bag, some good provisions and some bad. Do you have a link to the specific vote? I can take a more detailed look then.

2. I don't know what the vote totals were, but It was a net tax increase

and included alternative fuel incentives; the latter in particular was Obama's rationale for voting for it.

3. Didn't he vote for the energy bill because it was VERY good for the IL economy?

At least that is what I heard. I don't know about the Class Action Act.
