7. It's more important
how the over 10,000,000 people who viewed it reacted.

There are many of us who saw it for what it was, but may others may not have paid attention up until now.

What matters is what the voters take away from it.

Judging from the posts on ABC and other sites, the majority
of people seem to agree with my assessment of it as an "ambush," not a debate.

50. The people who didnt respond likely didn't waste their time watching it
After all, there are many more entertaining things to do than watch the TeeVee, such as play World of Warcraft with your friends and discuss the current issues while having fun.

One thing that I noticed, when I asked my circle of friends about whether they had seen the recent debate, most of them had not, but nearly all had seen the Clinton Chronicles and saw the similarities between the allegations made against Bill Clinton in Arkansas with the behavior of the Bush administration in relation to cronyism, obstruction of justice, and politicization of the DOJ. Those who had not, were interested in seeing it.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that Clinton laid the framework for what Bush was able to accomplish because they are fast and loose with the truth, and yearn power at any cost.

Cut for the same cloth I feel. Now as for Hillary, one can only imagine what she was up to as a partner in the Rose Law Firm which was intimately tied to ADFA and Government backed loans.

I am amazed that so many law enforcement officials would be willing to go on record with evidence regarding Mena, yet nothing ever happened, even when Clinton was eventually elected President.

What's also more incredible as I investigated the suppressed video, "The Clinton Chronicles" (available on YouTube), was that the big media outlets were very quick to discredit the reputation of the Citizens for Honest Government organization, who took the people that knew the case, and presented it to the public as a warning. Obviously, they failed, but the message was valid, and is a haunting reminder that history does indeed repeat itself.

We have seen Bush continue down the road of control in regards to Government regulation and enforcement. Fire people that disagree, Hire incompetent cronies for positions they are unqualified for, and generally run the Government like Boss Tweed.

If the Clintons were not running for positions of Power again, they could have lived their retirement in peace and style, but one has to ask, Why would you want to be president in this day, if not to change the US for the Better, or maintain control over what you have?

Hillary doesn't have what it takes, and her circle of friends and cronies is pretty scary indeed.

Stupid is and Stupid does.

14. You failed to quote the rightwing sources that Clinton supporters love so gosh-darned much....
... For example:

The National Review:
http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=YTg5Mzg3NDI2YjFhOWE1ZjU1ZWZmYTZlOTM0NjU4YzI=

Someone in the mainstream media finally mentions the William Ayers connection.

http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NWY3YTlhZmJkMjM0ZjA0NDEzZWQ0OTA0MzYyZjUwOWQ=
Sensibly, Gibson asked what it was that Wright had said that had troubled him long before it became a public issue.

David Brooks:

http://campaignstops.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/16/no-whining-about-the-media/index.html?hp

I thought the questions were excellent.

Marc Ambinder:
http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/04/keeping_the_score_card_theres.php

the artificial distinction between politics, personality and policy doesn't exist in this league, and if you're uncomfortable with it, then change the rules or don't run for office.

DU Clinton supporters and rightwingers are BFF!!! So don't bother hoping for them to vote for the Democratic nominee - they won't - they're Vichy.

19. Now it's personal
Edited on Thu Apr-17-08 06:10 PM by FightingIrish
That the national media are failing their duty to inform and report fairly and without bias has been obvious for some time. When a network like ABC has such contempt for its viewers that it sees fit to meddle in a pivotal national election, it works against democracy. The moderators, which has to be a misnomer, acted with such arrogance toward one candidate and in favor of the other, they did not even try to conceal their purpose. I would like to believe that this despicable use of the power of our airwaves did not reflect corporate policy or intent, but rather the inflated sense of self importance of the two talking heads. Until ABC issues a public apology to the American people, I can only believe it was a deliberate attempt at the highest levels of the network to influence the outcome of the Democratic primary election. They can sell all the erectile dysfunction remedies they want but, when they start screwing with my rights as a voter, it’s personal.

I love his dig at George Will passing judgment on Obama:

"I defer to superior breeding because here's a guy so snooty that he could go to the Elitist Persons' Ball and guests would say, 'Who's that elitist over there?' Here's a guy that when he goes to the ballpark, he may eat a hotdog but he probably has his pinkie extended. You can just imagine him denouncing Sen. Obama as an elitist over a good glass of sherry, looking down his superior nose, perhaps through a monocle. The whole thing is beyond satire."

Hillary is a Power Hungry Autocrat. Hillary sure does act masculine with all the attacks and very strained "Nostalgic Memories" that come off a teleprompter

We are not attacking Hillary due to sex, but due to actions. Sex really has nothing to do with being president, nor should race. Oh wait, maybe Sex does have something to do with being president -- Just ask Bill Clinton.

Seriously, they could have thrown together those questions in about 4 minutes. Meanwhile, there are more than 4,000 dead soldiers in Iraq while 20% of returning veterans have PTSD or a major depression as their suicide rates skyrocket. Gas prices are through the roof, people are already declaring we are in a recession, our infrastructure is crumbling, and Dick Cheney is still alive.
