You know this "Hate" stuff amongst us..........only feeds into Freeper Mentality..
SO...why do we do it? Why do we keep at it night and day..on an on.

Aren't we supposed to be building a "Better Amrerica?" We Democrats? I've felt for a long time now what we are drifting in a wilderness...we "so called Progressives" where we are tossed and turned by the RW Bushies and Repugs...always forced to "FIGHT" when we knew our philosophy about America and Constitution and Bill of Rights was the BED ROCK of our WHOLE GOVERNMENT.

But, many of us feel "forced into 'Bunker Mentality' where we have 'no voice...or little voice' because "Operatives on BOTH SIDES DROWN US OUT!"

When can we get to DISCUSSION and OPEN DIALOG that isn't PARTISAN but is working on making AMERICA/OUR COUNTRY WORK ...for ALL OF US?

1. That's right -
I love to skewer halfwit responses and fuzzy logic and slap at slime - but the more rotten name calling is off limits as far as I roll.

2. It IS Freeper mentality...
...if the purpose of this forum is to discuss things, how is that possible when one half has the other on ignore?

And, what have we learned from whatever conversation does take place?

We cannot defeat the GOP without undecideds and independents talking like freepers. Can anyone honestly recommend DU as a way to convince undecideds and independents to not side with the GOP?

Does anyone really believe any of the comments on GD:P will sway a republican having doubts about his party?

None of the comments have had any effect on the people who frequent this site, what chance is there that any of it would be of any use in a real world political discussion?

4. That's what I wonder...that all the fighting and "putting other voices on IGNORE"
doesn't somehow defeat the OPENESS of the Internet. The very Internet that we thought would defy the Mainstream Media and bring Democrats to the forefront of our Decomcracy/Repuglic.

We censor voices we don't agree with.......we ban them...put them on "ignore."

Not saying that many who are on "Ignore" are so offensive that we finally reach a "breaking point" or that "banning people on a site called "Democratic Undergound" doesn't get quetioned as to whether it's Dem Underground or "Above Ground"...but still...after al many here on DU have been through all these years (and there are so few still here who understand...but still...after all these years ...WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE WORKING FOR ...if we can't have any DIALOG?
