3. And this is what you do when you do poorly in a debate: blame the debate itself. n/t

5. No ... There is overwhelming reaction against it because it was so ridiculously apparent
that Gibson and Stephanopoulous were out to slash Obama over ridiculous shit.

6. It would be better if debates with twittish moderators such as
these were done in a bar room environment. Then you could knock the hooey out of them for being so inane. I mean, I wish it were ok for the candidate to say "are you out of your ever loving mind???!!!"

7. So...
To you the real issues all Americans really want to know about are:

1. Flag Pins

2. Obama's Minister

3. How someone spent the 1960's

Not

1. Health Care

2. Iraq

3. The Economy

4. Poverty

5. Racism in America

6. Loss of Individual Rights and Civil Liberties

7. The rejection of Habaes Corpus

Really?

11. Let me ask you this:
Are all those issues at the bottom of the list what we typically discuss on this forum?

22. Actually you're the one who offered the list of "issues" that ABC was supposed to discuss.
Isn't it just a bit hypocritical that we ask ABC to spend its time on issues that we rarely if ever discuss on internet forums and in the public at large?

Do you?

By the way - just open your eyes - these issues do get discussed both here and elsewhere.

31. I used to work at NBC.
Typically viewer complaints to the net were placed on an intranet "complaints" file sorted by program. We'd typically read them and laugh.

Go after the advertisers if you're mad at a media firm.

Issues are not typically discussed here. I don't see them. Most people complain about the "cesspool" that is GDP because of this issue. But at the same time we lambaste each other and the media for not considering them. It's crap. We hold the media to a higher standard than we hold ourselves.

16. This is not about how either candidate did. It's about that travesty ABC put on last night.
I don't support either candidate--I think neither did either well or poorly, btw--and it was clearly a steaming pile of shit.

50 minutes in before they ask a question on the issues? Are you fucking KIDDING me?

It was inexcusable and shameful, and you should be royally offended no matter WHO you support.

I'm really, really tired of the jeering Hillary supporters--this isn't something the Obama supporters are latching onto and whining about. Every single media review on the debate has taken ABC to the woodshed. It's NOT just Obama supporters.

issue, to talk about it openly and honestly and get to the point without a bunch of prepared sound-bites.
