"I expected this out of McCain, but...I'm a little disappointed
when I start hearing the exact same talking points from Hillary. She knows better. Shame on her."
-- Obama, outraged that he's become a victim of politics.

I have a feeling that the younger Obama fans will see this as an unprecedented and extremely personal attack against The Black Candidate, when in fact, ...this is just politics.

It's hard to imagine that the camp that benefitted from Hillary "disrespecting MLK" on that whole civil rights legislation thing - and you know what else? I heard that Teddy K decided to endorse Obama because of that. The way I heard it, when Ted heard that Hillary failed to give JFK his proper due in the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964-65, he went balistic and decided to throw in with Obama.

Yet, Obama's complaint was that Hillary gave too much credit to the white presidents thereby disrepected MLK - so how in the wide, wide world of sports do those two team up? Ted is pissed that a white president didn't get his props, while Obama is pissed that the white president got the props.

And the media joined in TO BLAME THE CLINTONS!!!!!!!!! The Clintons were guilty on both ends of the stick - and the whore media orgasmed. How can you win when your political enemies join hands and accuses you of being on both sides of an issue when - in fact - THEY are?

How can you win when the whore media says you're guiltry no matter which side you're on?

1. "The Black Candidate"?
As I've been prompted to say several times in the past few days: The Hill Camp are so desperate, they're finally showing their true colors - or, more to the point, are increasingly anxious to talk about the color of one of the candidates.

10. Yeah, that's the way these people operate ...
The OP refers to Obama (or Barry, as he usually calls him) being The Black Candidate - but it's everyone else who's playing the "race card".

21. Objection overruled ....
Counsel for the losing candidate raised the topic of The Black Candidate; ergo, counsel for the winning candidate has every right to cross-examine on the subject.

If you want to talk about remarks that "can never be helpful or constructive", please direct your objections to the OP for broaching the subject of The Black Candidate in the first instance.

And, no, the jury will not disregard those comments.

22. you missed the point
One person made one remark. Challenge that one person on that one remark.

But you posted the following:

"The Hill Camp are so desperate, they're finally showing their true colors - or, more to the point, are increasingly anxious to talk about the color of one of the candidates."

And then:

"...that's the way these people operate..."

Those remarks are ugly and uncalled for smears against a large group of people based on your interpretation of the remarks of one person.

28. Those remarks were NOT based on one person ...
... but were based on a growing number of people on this board who are (allegedly) Hillary supporters who have mentioned race more than once in their posts over the last few days.

29. ok
Then you would be justified in taking each of those individuals to task, wouldn't you? But you tried to turn it into a generalized attack on a large number of people, and tried to tie support for a candidate to racism and get people to imagine evil motives on the part of all who happen to disagree with you.

I find two things about your justifications for your behavior to be disturbing. First, you are using alleged attacks by others as a justification for your attacks - the "she had it coming" or "she asked for it" line of reasoning. That is morally bankrupt. Secondly, you are trying to whip up a mob against people spuriously identified as evil to be used as scapegoats - inciting people to see things as "us versus them." That is destructive to mutual respect and intelligent discussion, and completely antithetical to every principle and ideal of the Democratic party.

31. Nope.
I was merely pointing out the fact that in the last few days, a number of "alleged", ever-present Hillary supporters have been bringing up race in their posts. And don't ask for links - because most of them have been promptly deleted by the Mods.

Such posters should keep in mind that although their comments may be deleted, they have been seen - and it's like telling a jury to "disregard" what they have already heard with their own ears, and seen with the own eyes.

I said nothing about "a large group of people" - nor, for that matter, a "small" group of people, or a group of any particular size.

The people I was referring to know who they are - just as we all do. And if you want to rant about the "destruction of mutual respect" or the lack of "intelligent discussion", I would strongly suggest that you address your concerns to those who think using phrases like "The Black Candidate" are somehow appropriate.

5. "This is just politics"
...is the attitude that has allowed the cancer in the guts of the American political process to spread and thrive election after election after election. That permits pundits and political hacks to get away with diverting debates into idiotic discussions about who had a slip of the tongue last week instead of who will actually make the best damn president. That gave us Bush... re-elected... because Kerry was kinda aloof and "hey, did he really deserve that purple heart? What? War on, economy tanking... dude, didn't you hear me? Some guys are saying he got a medal thirty years ago that maybe he shouldn't have!!!"

The mere fact that you shrug this off as "just politics" is an indictment of politics in this country, and you don't even see it.

13. The Black Candidate
His name is Senator Obama and he is a democratic candidate in the primary and one of the senators from Illinois.

His name is President Kennedy and not the white president.

His name is President Johnson and not the white president.

Senator Kennedy endorsed Senator Obama and chose not to endorse Senator Clinton.

I never thought I would hear phrasing like you used from a democrat, ever.

Neither Senator Clinton or Senator Obama were in my top tier of choices for the democratic candidate but that doesn't mean I will lose my mind and spout off such horrible posts about either of them. At some point everyone has to realize what the stakes are in November and stop with the divisive posts. It looks as if Senator Obama will be the nominee. As soon as one of them gets the nomination the signs go up in my yard and:

1. If it is Senator Obama my sign won't say The black candidate

2. If it is Senator Clinton my sign won't say The white woman
