Who will join me in an Oath to Never Again visit DisneyLand or purchase anything Herr Maus related? |
|
We the undersigned hereby proclaim that on the basis of attack "journalism" by ABC during the 21st Democratic Primary Race, to NEVER spend a dime along with all of our Friends, Neighbors, Acquaintences and fellow Workers at a DisneyLand facility worldwide, and NEVER purchase another item or product related in any way via derivatives of the same such corporation (including all products and services offered as advertised on ABC) as owned by ABC/Disney.
Consider your company boycotted until the nation receives a full and complete apology from the CEO of ABC, and both men employed to make a mockery at that debate of the Candidates, the Primary, and Democracy itself.
Takebackthemedia.com, along with many sites, blogs and highly motivated individuals were able to convince through boycott Red Lobster, Geico, Radio Shack, See's Candies, only a few among dozens of major corporations to drop all advertising from Rush Limbaugh's hate radio show, and would be happy to help organize another against ABC/Disney due to the outrage felt by what may amount to millions of net citizens.
This will not stand.
(Please sign in folks, and give the thread a kick - If there's enough interest we'll take this to the next level. This has nothing to do with WHO you are backing, and let's not quibble over that here - we were ALL insulted by this Old School politics of division by ABC and their hosts at this "debate". Tell your friends to KEEP their Money.)
In America we just may need to "vote" with our Dollars.
Thank you all for your Patriotism!

21. Yeah, I know, these kinds of things don't usually do much on the grand scheme... |
|
...but, for me, it's more for my own integrity and where I draw the fucking line between what is right and what is wrong, what I will support and what I won't.

I'm an obama supporter, but I'm not into silly boycotts. I've sent an email voicing my opinion that the moderators did the nation a disservice by virtue of their rank amateurism in their conduct of the debate.
Time to move on.

They've certainly got plenty of it :) what bothers me the most is their damned Social Engineering, hell, they tried to basically purchase Valkey Forge years ago in an attempt to rewrite History... (not Valley Forge specifically, but it was a Major American battlefield, disgusting)..
We can't just "move on", someone has to throw down the gauntlet, or we can kiss democracy goodbye..

7. They are opening a store at our local factory outlet strip. |
|
I don't know what they are selling unless it's the Chinese made junk like T-Shirts that they usually sell at the theme parks. Maybe it would be a good place to picket.

I agree with George Carlin: "I hate Mickey Mouse. I hope he dies ... I hope he eats some tainted cheese ... I hope he dies on the street a poor neighborhood with his hands down Goofy's pants."

Forget it. I love their films. The kids do, too.

grumpy, sticky tourists not used to the heat, and overpriced food, there's nothing there you can't get at any good theme park. And if you like coasters, WDW is kinda' sucky. Busch Gardens is a much better coaster park.

...and I've already written KO to let him know if he ever has Staphylococolus on his show again, that will be the lsat KO show I watch.
I'm sure he thought "big woop" but I felt if enough people happened to write and bitch about it, perhaps as one big kumbaya group we would make an impact.

I really find the tower of terror disappointing. It is a huge build-up to virtually nothing. The first time I went on it I didn't realize the ride was over, I thought they were just building up to something.
The new finding Nemo submarines are the present big deal, not worth a long line-up - but cute, very similar to the Nemo show at Epcot, but with the original 1950's Disneyland submarines instead of the stupid shells.
These days the crowds at all the disney parks are obscene, plan on going first thing in the morning and staying till around 11:00 and then come back in the evening after about 21:00.
