1. Yup. John Gibson is gone; maybe it's Charles' turn. As for Georgie, forget it.
Even Faux News got rid of the wretched John Gibson. Maybe Charlie can fill his spot. As bad as he was with his glasses-on-the-nose Carl Levin imitation, he wasn't even close to Hannity II, who is now discredited as a journalist henceforth and forever.

6. Purge the opposition?
Purge the media?

Yes Pravda indeed.
Stupid.
This does Obama no favors.
Nor demcracy.
The press is weak enough as it is without this mindless mob mentality.

10. Why do you hate Democracy?
The "Press" is not weak. The "Press" is a major corporate conglomerate. What is weak is people that complain, when others push back against the "Press". I suppose you think we should lay off if they lie us into another war as well.

"One would have thought Stephanopoulos might have acquired some perceptiveness about the methods of rightwing smear merchants in his previous job as a senior advisor in Bill Clinton's White House. Apparently not."

Oh, I think he has, and he LIKES 'em.

13. The "debate" was an indicator how much closer we have come to fascism.

Will America die with a whimper, as the corporate whores tell us "everything is great!"?

14. Unfortunately, this is much worse than Pravda.
I've spent significant time in countries with state run media, and (almost) everyone in those countries knows that the media there is bullshit. The propoganda is just so apparent. You don't find too many nightly specials on fascinating subjects like "the people working collectively to advance iron ore production capabilities to build an even more glorious future" in places with non-state run media.

The problem that we have in the US is that the media has the veneer of being independent and objective here. It's why so many people are convinced that the debate last night was "tough, but fair." The media's bias and objectives are much more pernicious here.
