Hillary and the drinking
As an Obama supporter I am absolutely floored by the amount of outrage over Hillary enjoying a few drinks with her supporters!

C'mon people... there are plenty of other reasons WHY we don't like Hillary... but DAMN! Drinking a few drinks? Shots? Geez... who cares?

Can we move on to REAL matters? So many people got so mad about last nights debates because the ISSUES were not covered... are we going to lower ourselves to that?

We need to FOCUS!

1. It was the drunken table dancing that did her in.

9. Yeah, but she should've kept "the puppies in the yard" if you get my drift.
This ain't Mardi Gras, and you ain't getting beads Hillary.

2. I LIKED those photos!
I say Go Hillary! It looked like she was having fun and I see NOTHING wrong with them at all.

Just a comment from another Obama supporter who thinks this is lame.

3. Nobody really cares, I know I don't. .. I just think it was her trying to be someone she isn't doing
shots at a bar.

8. I agree, she looked like a weird robot
Her fixed expression was an obvious disguise for her distaste in the beverages.

27. It wasn't the drinking per se (although that part is pretty funny), it's the context of it all,
trying to look like she's blue-collar to make counterpoint to her spun perception of "bitter". That and the sudden door-to-door campaigning and the "I shot a duck once" comment. It's all such transparent pandering. If you go in for that sort of thing, great.

7. I agree.
I didn't see the big deal in it. But some Obama supporters here will take advantage of any little thing that can seem like a Clinton error. Kind of sad really. Some would rather attack Clinton that boast about their candidate.

10. Clinton drinks like Obama bowls
Pandering - falsely representing oneself for votes IS AN ISSUE

Lying like old people screw - that's an issue too... never trust a politician that's a poor liar

and NOT knowing how to drink?

NOW THAT is UNAMERICAN

11. I guess I don't care
but there was something about the comment that she didn't want anything sweet to drink that rubbed me wrong.

Don't know why, and I don't fixate on it at all. But when the event gets brought up, like now, it grates on me like nails across a chalkboard.

Oh well...

13. I wasn't outraged about it,
but I don't remember seeing photo ops of candidates from either side drinking alcohol in a bar before. Usually it's the shaking hands with the crowd and kissing babies and embarrassing themselves eating the local fare kind of stuff.

14. You bet it matters
in light of what she said only a few months ago:

“In 2000 we ended up with a president who people said they wanted to have a beer with…. And you know, I think there are the majority of Americans who think that was not the right choice.”
(Hillary Clinton, January 2008)

that Bush had a problem with alcohol.

No reason to accuse Hillary of the same.

18. It's not about the drinking
it's about the shameless lying and the pandering.

Hillary is drunk on her lies like a heavy drinker is drunk on booze.

How the hell do you trust someone like that? Is that the type of person you want running the country, either in the White House OR the Senate?? I know for damn sure that's not the kind of role model I want my kids looking up to.

19. I understand that...
But honestly why are we focusing on her drinking with her supporters? I am talking about a shamless drink with a trumped up crowd of supporters!

This is what this thread is about... there are PLENTY of other reasons why we do not agree with Hillary... drinking a few beers or shots with her supporters does not matter.

And REALLY... do you have some sort of inside info that we don't know about? Is Hillary really a drunk?

Can you supply some sort of PROOF?

Please don't embarrass us Obama supporters.

because this thread was about people getting pissy about her DRINKING!

Did I not say that there are PLENTY of other reasons to not support Hillary?

Read the OP. I did.

15. I think it's ridiculous too.
I'm an Obama supporter, for that matter. So she got photographed having some drinks - my GOD, who cares? Pandering? Maybe, but I don't think she looked that awkward. I think she knew it was kind of silly, but she didn't seem to mind that. Good for her.

I feel the same way about Obama's bowling - I kind of respect him more for being willing to do something he KNEW he was lousy at in public. Means he's not uptight about having to look in control all the time.

I just don't see why anyone is getting worked up over it.

If I supported her it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me that she had a drink in a bar. but you gotta admit, the pictures are pretty funny though.

26. But the same people that might vote against Obama for "bitter" remarks...
would also vote against Hillary for drinking like a drunken sailor. I'd guess that She may lose about 5-10% of the vote for those shots?
