It was former NY Times reporter Judith Miller, who swallowed the government's fabrications about Saddam's non-existent WMD program in 1993 lock stock and barrel and printed it as if it were the Lord's own, irrefutable truth. It was those distortions that persuaded American lawmakers and their constituents that invading Iraq was not only justified, but unavoidable.

Shame on Miller. Shame on the NY Times. The papers reporting on Guantanamo, waterboarding, illegal wiretapping, after the fact distortions used to "justify" the Iraq invasion when it was approved by Congress don't even come close to treason.
