5. He's got a pile of credit with me for that. |

Gore too, but Dean was so outspoken and simply right when few dared...

7. I love Howard Dean, too. I wasn't a Deaniac and I didn't know |
|
what to think about him. But over time, my respect for him has only grown and grown.
I can't think of a Democrat I've ever trusted more. And I don't normally fall in love with politicians.
It was a big surprise to fall in trust with Dean.
I believe he will settle this civil war and I believe the Democratic Party will be so much the better for his innate wisdom.
Dr. Dean, tell us where and when. We'll get it done.

He didn't need to do ANY of this. He doesn't have the kind of ego that propels him to run for president.
What he has is all the skill of an executive.
What he has is all the empathy and all the intelligence and all the practicality that anyone would wish for in a president.
And -- wait, there's more -- he doesn't need it. He's fine with doing the really hard work of nailing this party back together.
That's amazing. THAT is remarkable.
That someone like Obama gets the nomination may be remarkable. That Hillary Clinton keeps battling may be remarkable.
That Howard Dean keeps working quietly and behind the scenes to knit this party back up from the shreds it's been in for these many years, that is undoubtedly remarkable. That's amazing. We will all be in his debt for many years. For at least a generation.
Go, Howard, and thank you! We are grateful to you. And we will always be in your debt.

10. Gov. Dean was a bracing blast of fresh air in a time when truth was mocked as being unpatriotic. |
|
Now the supposedly progressive MSM types are jumping on the "call it like you see it" train, but Gov. Dean took the hits and faced the consequences when there was nothing to win and everything to lose.
He is tenacious and formidable. He's an Internist, solving problems to fix patients, and all of us are suffering a malady that he is trying to cure.
What's not to like? :loveya:
