We are getting down to the wire now DU denizens. If you think it was nasty around here before,
The last debate is over, the final primaries coming up fast. And, I feel the tone in GDP getting a little more raw (and I thought it wasn't possible!).

I predict as HRC's inevitable demise gets closer the heat will get turned up, you know that denial-bargaining-anger-... death throes thingee. I'm going to go shopping for some heat-resistant gear, maybe a stylish welding mask or something, first thing tomorrow.

:grr: :nuke: :scared:   :grouphug:

wander off for a while to lick their wounds..

Skinner will not allow them to continue to pollute the place with venom, and that will be a good thing..

Like all families, sometimes a schism develops and occasionally it never comes back together, but then new relationships can form, so the "leavers" will be the losers.. twice..

4. Yeah, I think Obama supporters will be a little too embarrassed....
to come around the week after Hillary gets the nomination.

But I'll forgive and forget, and welcome them back with open arms when they're ready to come back.

7. Probably not, since the only way she can logistically "win"
will be very ugly..and the Bush '00 fiasco will seem like a birthday party compared to her "win"..

Time will tell what happens to DU.. I've been here since '01, so I have seen many odd things happen..

who knows..

I guess we can all get together daily to commiserate about President Mccain.. we made it through 8 long years of Bushh..

It won't be as much fun screwing around with McCain.. he's not an inherently funny man....

The "other" half will move on to different things, I guess..

5. I hope in Hillary's death throes she doesn't resort to tasteless attacks like flipping BO the bird
because that would be so low class.

8. I just invoked a fairly heft Ignore firewall today.
The pace of shit-flinging has picked up, and it's not even new stuff. Just more.

It's funny looking at some threads now:

Ignored
--- Are you even from this planet?
--- Ignored
---Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?

Hopefully it will be over soon.

10. We'll be fine. We'll try to kill each other, we'll eat a large pizza
wash it down with some brew, and then we'll feel guilty.

Our mods will have mercy on us and soon, it will be the Fourth of July.

Think of this as a red, white and blue opportunity. :grouphug:

14. nonsense
Clinton supporters are well prepared emotionally for a defeat. It is demeaning and condescending to talk about some "denial-bargaining-anger-... death throes thingee."

This is supremely ironic. You are fanning the flames here, yet saying that you are doing it in anticipation of what "they" are going to do.

The Clinton supporters here are mostly gone, aren't participating, or are doing a good job of being civilized in my view. There are a few on both sides who are out of control and acting badly, but it completely false as well as inflammatory and divisive to continue to blame one side for the uproar around here.

Any Obama supporter that thinks he or she is under some sort of siege or attack from gangs of uncivilized Clinton supporters is projecting, or is so sensitive about any criticism of their candidate that they are seeing attacks and persecutions where they are not there.

I think it is time for many Obama supporters to start thinking about what being good winners might require of them.
