2. No, let John McCain call Obama a chickens**t who was afraid to face a woman,
Of course Obama should debate Hillary again. If Obama refuses to do this last debate, he is going to rue it all through the general election. Every time he gets ready to debate McCain, the RNC will bring up the fact that he was scared to debate a woman! Ann Coulter will mock him. And we know that Obama has a short temper. It is going to get on his nerves and make him bitter and make him do and say things he should not do.

3. That seems a little sexist. "afraid to debate a woman" as if a woman is weak and less able to debate
Hillary kicks ass in a debate by any standard. That's why BO should be afraid to debate her.

8. Well how about you two figure out if it's sexist or not.
Meanwhile, I, a REAL feminist, will work to get the DEMOCRATIC candidate elected. Y'all will probably work for McCain, since Obama 'stole' the nomination from your Queen. But the rest of us really want a Democrat to be elected. So we'll go on without you.

11. a REAL feminist huh?
If you are a REAL feminist, then you must be supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton because I don't think, given the plight of women in the world today, that you can be a feminist and be for Barack Hussein Obama. I just don't see that as being possible. it would be similar to a gay rights activist endorsing...(insert heterosexual political candidate here) over Barney Frank for his Mass. congressional seat. That's mytwo cents at least. I'm sure you have a great excuse for supporting Barack obama though if that is who you're supoorting (which is what I gathered from your post).

Hillary is comparable to Condoleeza politically? I don't think they are anywhere near the same person.

32. Are you saying that Barack is so incomparable to Hillary politically
That no real feminist can vote for him? Or are you saying that loyalty to one's gender (or sexual orientation in the case of Rep. Frank) must trump everything else where Democratic politicians are concerned? So do blacks have an obligation to vote for Barack because of his race then?

Tell me something: If a progressive straight woman challenged Barney Frank for his seat, then who should gay women vote for?

but time is up and Hillary needs to spend the time packing her bags.

13. Only if the League of Women Voters takes back the job
Amazing organization and they used to host the presodential debates. Then, they got tired of both parties turning the platform into shallow photo ops, full of silly questions. You know, like the ABC debate.

15. I was thinking along similar lines
Having it run just by them might not be ideal but they sure did a better job than the networks are willing or able to do. They'd be great to host or co-host debates, I wouldn't mind another similar organization or two thrown in for balance though or to avoid the appearance of conflict in some cases. Even if it was just them we'd still be better off than with what we've seen this debate season.

Another debate like we've had, no. We haven't had a real one about issues yet though. If they wanted to do that it could be good.

I'm tired of the same old same smoke and mirrors debates. I want some substance on the current issues facing Americans, not fluff designed to keep Americans confused.

After 20 debates - there is nothing substantial we can learn about either candidate. Personally I don't care to watch HRC diminish her image any further.

24. The point of a debate
is to see where your candidate stands on issues. If at this point, after 21 debates, someone is still undecided about who they are going to vote for, I would be surprised if this person is able to gather enough food to sustain him/herself.

I think that Wednesdays debate can be interpreted into "we don't have anything else to ask you that you have said at least 429 times before, so how about bullets?"

I'm done and they both should be

30. No.
The candidates have been running for more than a year, and every statement they've wanted to make is easily available online; more than that, all of the debates to date have been frustratingly insubstantial to one degree or another, and the last one was embarrassing. At this point, the candidates need to close ranks and focus on the few remaining states, and not open themselves to media hostility designed to make McCain look stronger.

33. Absolutely!!1! Moderated by S. Colbert and J. Stewert on Comedy Central
I want to see Stephen keep painting the MSM as the corporate shills that they are while John asks them the very questions America truly needs to hear the answers to. That particular "Debate" would be the very place for Senator Clinton to make up with ALL democrats and Senator Obama by announcing her withdrawal from the race and support for our next President, Barrack H. Obama. Now wouldn't THAT be a coup over MSM that they would be hard-put to explain! (...and a win for America's democracy as well!)

how many times can you go over the same issues. The only thing a debate could do now is play gotcha with a tabloid issue.
