I have this funny feeling... |
|
I haven't felt it for a while...never on a level involving politics in my 33 years of life.
I have this feeling that a middle class guy I could have grown up next to is going to be president.
I have a feeling that the "same two families" legacy that has rotted DC from the inside out and poisoned our political campaigning system is done.
I have this feeling that someone may at least TRY to clean up the mess that 28 years of Ultra-conservative Republican and DLC Republican light have inflicted on us.
I have this odd feeling that someone may try and bring back at least a little of our industry so that we can actually say that we manufacture "something" as opposed to what we produce now: War.
I have this feeling that endless war and profit from it are not part of our national eternal legacy are done.
What's this feeling called?

On the friendliest note possible, change your avatar. The only DUer I know who uses Max Headroom is the craziest of Hillary supporters who goes on rants where he repeats a "thesis" over and over with no supporting arguement.
Tough to describe until you witness it.
You don't want to be associated with that one.

9. Technically, it's not the 'same two families'. |
|
It's only one family - but Hillary hopes to change that to two.
Unless you want to consider the DLC as a family. A very large, abusive, disfunctional family. (Much like the Bush family.)

I must say, my cynicism has risen to the level where I was doubting if we would even be able to launch an attack on the DLC enough to diminish their power within the party. Now I look at the DLC-sponsored candidate flailing and all of the republican-lite talking points being roundly rejected by the people. Populism is possible TODAY, and I thought it would take at least two election cycles to get it off of the ground.
So yeah, it gives me hope. People are really hurting out there, which has moved the time-line up for change.

that you attribute any positive to a middle of the road, barely moderate, fringe rightie, non-traditional "liberal", like Obama.
The only candidate who could do what you believe is in my sig line.
Is that Kool-Aid good? No, it rots your brain.
