What I would like to see when the nominee is FINALLY picked... |
|
Both Sens. Clinton and Obama at a podium together. The "loser" concedes in a gracious manner, calls for party unity with a "let's put the contentious primaries behind us" phrase, turns to the "winner" and they both wink at each other. To reinforce it, the nominee then accepts the congrats and they repeat the wink. This would set the media off for weeks about a secret "did they run the whole thing to keep the spotlight on themselves and off McCain" plan. You know that they cannot resist anything of this nature, so they would be forced to cover it. Even if they tried to spin it as a negative "fucking with the integrity (yeah, right!) of the electoral process" thing, I think it would be a positive for the party and the nominee. It might even keep some of the most strident supporters of the runnner-up in the fold come November.

1. I am cautiously optimistic this will happen |
|
In private I am sure the Clintons will be extremely bitter, but I am very hopeful they will do and say the right things publicly.

3. I doubt it... I already think one of them has started their 2012 campaign. nt |
