Does anyone else want to share my rant about organizing |
|
Probably 3 to 4 times in my life, I've made someone so mad they have hung up on me. I rarely lose my temper outside of my family. A person just got so mad because I was checking on the agenda for tonight's meetup and making sure we have it covered. The anger was caused be myriad folks checking up on her but I'm now so angry I know I should make no more phone calls. :argh:
There is a reason why I've avoided politics so long. Repeat after me, I'm not 12. I'm an adult...

3. Yup, hold off on that next phone call for awhile |

There is no known protection against people acting like total jerks. Clear the boards. Hopefully you will luck out and the next person you get around to contacting will be a joy, unfortunately, probably not.

4. Don't sweat the little stuff...... |

If you call someone in the early evening, you have no idea what type of mood they are in. And you aren't responsible for them. What you were doing was trying to be responsible to make tonight's activity go well. Don't let yourself get side-tracked by other peoples' foolishness. Keep your focus on that which is important.

People have rotten days, and sometimes your call is the last straw. Suck it up and assume she'll get over it. Odds are she will.
