'Guilt by association' as defined by Stephen Colbert...
It was all in a tight circle with photos. Obama was at the top. Colbert said that Obama was a friend of Ted Kennedy. Ted Kennedy is a Catholic. The Pope is a Catholic. As a youth, the Pope was in a Nazi youth group. Therefore, Obama is guilty by association to Adolf Hitler. :-)

That is illustrative of how ridiculous some of these arguments are, such as the preacher and the Weatherman. After all, did they not arrest a Chinese fellow out in California that had contributed a million dollars to the Clinton campaign. But she gave it back. Is she guilty by association. As is John McCain for associating himself with the crazy preacher that ridicules and preaches against Catholics? Where does this insanity stop?

I say it stops with us. We cannot let ABC news and Karl Rove tactics elect the next President for us. Any candidate that uses those tactics and any network or propagandist should be called on it. It is not stifling dissension. It is exposing propaganda and lies. We will do that.

1. I think this weekend we will really see the piling on of the MSM DC establishment against Obama
This is pretty much the last shot the establishment has of getting rid of the competition for their known quantity. Obama isn't a radical but they also don't have dirt-real personal dirt- to throw at him. Even with the availability of whatever endless wiretapping and spying would normally provide they haven't been able to make him go away or turned the screws on him and make him drop out. This is unknown territory for them and they don't like unknowns.

It is going to be a rough nasty weekend. Hold on.

"Wimp" just entered the room too

2. I think it must be next to impossible
to live to be middle aged and not have met or had dealings with someone who was less than a stellar citizen. I've known people who later on spent time in jail. I've also known people who probably were lucky to stay out of jail. IT's not like any of these people were my best friends, but with the guilt by association criteria it really doesn't matter. Somehow I should have known better, I guess.

Those without sin, cast the first stone. THere sure seems to be a lot of perfect people out there.

3. He's virtually a Nazi. Next we'll find out that his family profited off of their Nazi connections.
Wait. That was the Bush family.

That's my idea of guilt by association.
