First, I registered this domain, www.askhillary.com , in hopes to sell it to the Hillary campaign - thought it might be worth something, still think it might, now or later, so I hold onto it. Just threw up a page a few weeks ago - very simple - with an email address. I had planned to use that page in efforts to sell the domain. At any rate, I began to get emails from people from around the country. Most are real people asking real questions, but I just got this one that is just, well, reminds me of some of the posts here sometimes...

-------------
Hillary. i dont understand how you think you can run this country in its time of termoil when you cant even run your own family. i really dont know how you think that the country can forget how your husband lied to the country and on national tv this country can not and will not forget. how do you think we can. he lied and cheated and tried to get out of it. the morals in your family quite honestly are horrible. i also heard that you also had affairs, hillary come on do you think you are the right person for this job. i dont like obama either and so i really have no choice but to vote republican. honestly i have always been a democrat until your husband did the things that he did, and probably more that we do not know about, so because of your husband i have become a republican and very proud of it. maybe you can tell me how you plan to defend this country in its time of need.
-------------

Anyway, any suggestions on what I should do with the domain?

3. I would be a little nervous that you are "impersonating" her. Don't you think her campaign
might not look too kindly on that?

6. The person who owns the domain isn't claiming to be Hillary Clinton
They simply had the foresight to buy the domain. Which is perfectly legal. There are other people in the world named Hillary you know?

11. The domain name is "askHillary" so I would assume, if I were submitting a question,
that it was being answered by Hillary Clinton or somebody that she sanctioned to answer the question.

I just think that her campaign, if they got wind of it, would have a big problem with it because it sounds like impersonation. But then again, what the hell do I know?

you can buy them and do what you want with them.

If Hillary doesn't like it , she can buy it.

20. You can't misrepresent that you are Hillary and respond on her behalf.
That's got nothing to do with domain ownership.

7. use it to educate the people ...
don't bother with doing any anti-Hillary or anti-Obama stuff ... the people who will likely be going there might be legit (slim chance), so use it to educate them about Republican abuses ...

9. That's a good idea!
Take the emails that you've gotten and find 'answers' to the questions from her public speeches and congressional record.

You'd have to put up a disclaimer that you're not Hillary (like she's got time to run a web site!), but pairing real people's questions with information from the public domain might go a long way towards educting people as to what she's really about.

It could even work as a standalone site once the primary is done, if you do it right.

8. mmmm. Forward the emails to the campaign
and I'd take down the email address. I think it's interesting but you don't want to put yourself in the position of even seeming to speak for a campaign. They probably want to manage that responsibility themselves. I know it sounds like you could do something fun with it, but realistically, you don't want to put yourself in a bad position.

10. That is hysterical. Turn Republican
because of Bill's youthful indiscretions? How about Barr, Newt, Vitter, Craig, Foley, Packwood, I am not suprised because I have heard people talk about the reason they won't vote for Hillary. It is insane. Don't like her policy or direction fine but Bill's affair with 24 year old Get a life. The average American is stupid.

a few years before that and doing it on the Navy's nickel. OOOPS - It's OK if you're a RepubliKlan.

16. Why Don't You Start By Notifying The Real Campaign?
Even if you're not ready to "sell" whatever concept. I would be very uncomfortable having people reply to it thinking it was official when it's not.

Let the real campaign know ASAP before you get a nasty letter.
