Has anyone here actually fallen for ABC's "The Smear Obama Show"? |
|

It's hard for me to believe that anyone could actually believe such garbage. ABC didn't even try to be subtle in their hostility towards Obama. First it was Bittergate, then Rev. Wright ("Do you believe Rev. Wright loves America as much as you do?" :eyes:,) then it was flag pins of all things. It took nearly an hour before Tweedledum and Tweedleasshole even started to discuss real issues instead of gotchas and molehill politics, and then, all the issues questions were framed in terms of "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" The entire debate was not just a setup, but it was such a hammed up over-acted obvious setup that you would have to be wearing diapers and drooling in your applesauce to believe it.
But then again, as they say, never underestimate the level of stupidity in the American People. There's actually seems to be some effect in the Gallup polls. Clinton closed to three points.
Is America really that fucking stupid? I guess so, because we have Bush as our President right now, a fucking two termer because enough Americans were stupid enough to vote for him TWICE!
If The Smear Obama Show really causes a statistically measurable effect towards Hillary, I'll have lost all faith in humanity.

1. Oh, some people here claim Obama did poorly. |
|
Of course, they're unable to claim why he did poorly, point out which answer he gave was bad, or how he should have answered any question differently.
So, no. Nobody actually fell for it.

2. ABC planted him in the middle of a minefield, |
|
but to their dismay, Obama failed to step on any mines.

As an Obama supporter, I was appalled. I can't believe the Stephonotalot - a clear Hillary supporter - was one of the moderators. That just really fries my butt.

5. He could have crushed the flag pin issue |
|
"Is senator Clinton wearing a flag pin? No. Is John McCain wearing a flag pin? No. Are you wearing a flag pin, Charlie? No. So, Charlie. How much do you hate America? Just for the record, I don't think you hate America. But that's the line of logic that is being used against me so I don't see why I should be the only target."
End of story.
That being said, I felt like his answers on pastorgate, bittergate and Ayersgate were all great.

10. Would have backfired. |
|
The next day they'd have attacked Obama for questioning the patriotism of a former POW and war hero.
That's the same reason he could only go after the media on "snipergate" and not any issue concerning him.

3. That whole show was a primer on how to handle yourself under pressure. |
|
Painful as it was to watch -
Obama acted like the only adult in the room.
He wins, again.
I'm glad I don't have to debate him.

6. You can look at it from many directions---Be Honest, Moderators |
|
have consistently been tough on Hillary.
Obama, having never been vetted, can expect tough questions. The Frontrunner gets this. If you think Stephanopolis and Gibson were tough--just wait for the Republicans and their opposition research. This is America, folks.
We have to be aware that half the country does not worship at the altar of Obama. Do not complain --he is going to bring the country together.

7. According to Gallup Clinton actually polled better than Obama last night, and if you look at Rasmuss |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 12:54 PM by jezebel
Obama must have polled at 40 or 41% last night with Rasmussen. If you figure out Gallup Obama polled between 40 and 42 last night with them. So yes Obama definitely had a bad night last in polling. The interesting thing is with Rasmussen Hillary couldn't have polled higher than 43 (to keep her average of 41) but with Gallup's numbers Hillary must have polled between 47 and 49 last night alone (to bring her average up to 44). I hope it is some sort of blip and not trend.

11. Since many Americans vote for the candidate |
|
they'd like to have a beer with I see no harm in asking a candidate who they know and how they feel about everyday things.
