To borrow another sports analogy, this is the bottom of the 9th inning for the Clinton team. If they lose PA, it is virtually over. It is incumbent upon them to win that state. What we have seen in the last few days and weeks is nothing short of desperation.
One wonders if there are internal polls that show entirely different numbers than the ones that are fed the gullible public? And just how close are those numbers? Hillary is putting up a valiant fight. She has even charged Obama as being a "wimp". This, after the Reverend Wright, the "bitter" elitist charges, and the William Lyons connection.
If an unbiased person were to just walk upon the scene, he would surmise that the Clintons are desperate and that Obama is favored to win. No matter if she were to pull out PA and run the table the rest of the way, there would be the almost impossible job of reconciling the differences of the two campaigns. However, that is of no concern if they do not win the nomination. They will cross that bridge when they get to it. That is the desperate nature of this campaign.

2. Their internal polling must not be that good. Probably shows her having only a 5 point lead. |

6. I did not want to assume that it would be obvious to others... |

and some will say that it is not obvious to them. It looks like desperation to me, but that is just my opinion. Thanks for your comments.

Fighting spirit has taken over from calculation, and done so without its quite being noticed by the principals. This often happens to persons hotly engaged in a contest they expected to win, and had at the start a decent or better chance at winning. Focus narrows to take in only the path, however strait, that might produce victory, and calculation of the chance to keep events on that path is liberally greased by determination and self-confidence. The result is that odds of, say, six to one are perceived as perhaps two to one, and faith in a lucky star backed by skill and ruthlessness makes two to one look like something you can count on pulling out when all is said and done....
