Bumper stickers, buttons, yard signs in Pittsburgh (East side, Oakland, Strip):
-On cars on Parkway East few Hillary, about 4 Obama
-Squirrel Hill yard signs 2 Hillary, 8 Obama (S. Dallas, Forbes, & side street)
-Oakland near Pitt, 5th ave : Lots more Obama, esp. 5th Ave. going into the city
-Strip: most signs were Obama, buttons on five people in Wholey's and Enrico's Biscotti. zero Hillary buttons.
-East on Liberty Ave, Penn Ave (Garfield,Bloomfield,Friendship,Regent Square) easily more Obama signs on buildings, yards.

I don't know if that any way reflects polls, but I'm just saying that's what we saw.

1. Thanks for the update! What are the demographics of that area?
Can you help put it in context by telling us a little more bout the neighborhood?

I love these on the ground stories, even if they are meaningless.

3. East Liberty, Garfield, Friendship: 60-40 AA; Squirrel Hill is one of the wealthiest in the
Pittsburgh area has Jewish population, professors from Pitt, CMU, Chatham; Bloomfield: Pittsburgh's "Little Italy", Strip is nearly all multi-ethnic stores and is a shopping area for downtown and nearby diverse neigborhoods.

6. So lots of Obama signs in the Jewish neighborhood?
That's a good sign. I found a suprising amount of support for Obama in Narberth, outside Philly, and that's a pretty Jewish area.

2. Not scientific, but always interesting
I had the same experience in San Francisco, where Obama won 54-46. Just my personal experience of what I saw, but it did wind up correlating.

8. Here's my report...from the south suburbs....
I live in the southwest suburbs (northern Washington county), and drive east through the south hills to West Mifflin and and take a different route... slightly farther north and closer to Pittsburgh... on the way home.

Canonsburg: About 60-40 Hillary
Peters/McMurary: About 60-40 Obama.... though very few signs
Finleyville: About 50-50
Gastonville: About 75-25 Obama
Pleasant Hills: About 50-50
West Mifflin: About 60-40 Obama
Glassport/McKeesport: About 80-20 Obama

South Park: About 50-50
Bethel Park: About 70-30 Obama
Upper St. Clair: 0-0 (Haven't seen a SINGLE sign along the Route 19 corridor in USC for either one)

I think that Washington County will be about 50-50.... Allegheny will be about 55-45 for Obama.

I find it interesting that in some places there are so few signs--but what I saw in Little Rock really surprised me:

Last week, I had to take my husband to the U of A Medical Center, and we went down Markham Street, like we always do. I was interested in seeing if the large Clinton signs were still up in the yard at one street corner. To my surprise, they were gone. The whole time we were there we saw only one Clinton bumper sticker, which really surprised me. Didn't see ANY Obama stickers, but didn't the last time we were there, which was last month.

Not scientific either, but interesting.
