This is yet another test. Fahrenheit 9/11 is going to be all over the news shortly. The charges are too serious to avoid. Will John Kerry comment on the film? The charges?
Edit: corrected the title

1. You want our candidate to review a movie? Why? |
|
Michael Moore is neither prosecutor nor judge. He cannot issue indictments. None of his evidence is part of an official investigation.
Kerry has no need whatsoever to inject himself into this hoopla.
Fahrenheit 9/11 is doing its job nicely without a word from Kerry. Let it keep working.

2. terry mcauliffe said the movie will help Kerry |
|
but kerry himself shouldn't review it or anything. or else it can easily be attacked as just a campaign movie to help bush's opponent. better to try to get as many people as we can to see it. and let them decide for themselves.

3. Kerry will run as fast and far as he can |
|
I'd wager the deed to my house on it.
He was complicit during the rise of the fascism we now face. Should be interesting to hear him and Jr. debate the war, and the lies that lead to it.

4. Kerry should just stay out of it . . . |
|
and let the movie do the work for him. It is free PR for him, and commenting on it will just fan the flames unnecessarily. The movie speaks for itself.
He is the presumptive nominee, so no matter what the movie might imply about his senate vote, he will still be our candidate.
Our two choices are -- vote for Bush, the subject of this documentary, or vote for Kerry, who probably wishes he could go back and change his vote on the Iraq war.
I am going tonight, and I can't wait to see it! :bounce:

7. Kerry should say something about the charges... |
|
against his opponent. He is running against a guy who millions of Americans are about to believe is an aidiot and a traitor. You guys think Kerry should continue to talk about the minimum wage??
That will solidify in the minds of many that Kerry doesn't have any strong beliefs. My opinion of course.

Kerry does have at least one strong belief -
He believes he is entitled to be president.

9. how I would handle this if I was John Kerry... |
|
I would see it (probably have to do it privately, security you know) When people asked me about it I would say "Yes, I've seen it." When asked for my opinion I'd say "Michael Moore is a talented film maker, I have always appreciated his art." That's an opinion of the film, right? Then I'd ask to meet with Michael Moore....

10. I got an email from the California Dem. Party encouraging me to go tonight |
|
Not sure what Kerry should do since I haven't seen it yet. I would say he should see it and enjoy it, and then say that Moore has the right to express his opinion and it's interesting to see "the other side of the story" we don't get from the White House. ??
