MSNBC is on the turn
Is MSNBC on the Turn, i cant believe this, I’m laughing

The main Headline smack on the front page

THE WIMP FACTOR?

As Obama’s patriotism is questioned, he’s starting to look more and more like John Kerry in ‘04.

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032553/
www.newsweek.com/id/132566

The specter of John Kerry in 2004 is beginning to haunt the Democrats in 2008. It is the specter of wimpy campaigns past. It showed up, like Banquo’s ghost, at the debate Wednesday night in Philadelphia, particularly when Hillary Clinton joined with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson to nip away at the edges of Barack Obama’s patriotism. Between the questions about Obama’s meager association with William Ayers, a former Weatherman, and the suspicions raised by his lack of a flag lapel pin, the likely nominee is slowly being turned into John Kerry. He is becoming, in other words, a candidate who may be mostly right about national security but who will lack the Red State street cred to carry his point—and the election.

And when he walked into a 3 on 1 tag team he's expect to "take it and like it" then be happy to do it again?

55. Not only did she whine, she whined about a SOFTBALL QUESTION
Just about any candidate would love to get that question in a debate, it allows them to talk about an issue that is important to a lot of voters without having to go on the defensive. It was an easy question, and she still whines about it.

What is it now...a debate ever day or so.

Hillary proved she plays dirty, lies her ass off and even when about to be slayed and let go (as Obama did on the Bosnia story), she kept coming back like a MONSTER.

She's toast and she knows it.

If it IS a debate with union-backed people who know her lies about NAFTA and China MFN, I'd say let's debate.

But if it anything like the Philly Psychobabble Show, she can debate herself somewhere. She has opposing opinions on just about every issue depending on where she is.

Clintons are the biggest COWARDS in the the Dem party. They feared BushInc so much they would undermine other Democrats just to deliver protection to the bushes, just as they did throughout the 90s.

Fucking cowards - deep-sixing all the TRULY BRAVE EFFORTS of those few honest Democrats who worked for years risking their lives and careers to UNCOVER the crimes of BushInc.

Bill was such a chickenshit when it came to Poppy Bush and his powerful cronies he did everything they told him to do throughout the 90s, and still do today.

Fucking cowards.

the DNC run by Clinton loyalist Terry McAuliffe sat on their hands for four years and LET the RNC do it.

There isn't a braver lawmaker in DC than John Kerry - under machine gunfire or uncovering and exposing government corruption - corruption covered up by the COWARDS of the Dem party throughout the 90s who feared going against BushInc.

42. Hey - HRC was under sniper fire not John Kerry !
This is asinine and is using what was in reality a myth that the various Clinton people all propigated in the wake of the 2004 election. The fact is that Kerry was NEVER a "wimp", he ran a strong campaign against a media that wanted him to lose, various religious groups against him because of abortion and gay marriage and he very narrowly lost. Maybe if the complicit media would have had the grace to ask the SBVT for any proof that the official Navy record was wrong, rather than demanding that Kerry prove (not just by pointing to the record) that they were wrong.

As soon as the election was over a certain oafish former President spoke of how Kerry lost because he was weak on national security! Actually, Kerry had written legislation that Clinton and the Republicans did not back that would have provided tools to stop the international money laundering that provided OBL with world wide easy access to money. This was one product of Kerry's work on BCCI - which he helped shut down even when it meant going outside the Senate to the Justice department and then to a Manhattan DA. That legislation was incorporated into the Patriot Act. It has led to some of the few successes we've had against non-state terrorism. Do you think it was maybe protecting Clinton that kept Kerry from making more of an issue of this?

What you have is a pundit class that by and large never served and people like the Clintons, Bushes and Cheneys who were too elitist to serve. The fact of the matter is that every single one of those people who have the audacity to call a highly decorated war hero a wimp deserve to be called on it - they are shameful. Not only that they KNOW he's a better person than they are.

As to the Clintons - HRC bringing up this issue with Obama needs to think that Kerry could have piled on to her husband when he was being hit by questions on the draft - it would have been easy for him to self righteously quote Bill Clinton's "loathing the military" letter - which likely did offend Kerry. Instead he gave a speech from his heart begging people not to tear the party apart over Vietnam in the nomination fight. From the words - I've never seen a broadcast of it - you can sense how heart felt it was. Do you thing that HRC feels one bit of remorse as she tears the party apart because she refuses to run a principled campaign for the Presidency. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=5197294 )

There are many ways to show strength and Kerry has over his entire life - in the service, protesting and in the Senate. Hunter Thompson described Kerry in his endorsement in Rolling Stone as a "brave man with a good heart". This was less than a month before the election. No one has captured the elections of since 1972 better than Thompson - getting to their essence. Kerry was incredible in those fall rallies and the debates - with a fairer media or even enough voting machines in Ohio - he would have pulled off an upset.Maybe the media needs to look back at the actual accounts written of the 1992 campaign while it was happening or look at the mess that the Clintons made of primaries set up to make it near impossible for them to lose. Kerry has more strength of character and integrity than the two Clintons added together and multiplied by 1000.

Ok, I'm an Obama supporter, but there is some story on the front page of Huffington, under "story developing", with HILLARY SLAMS DEMOCRATIC ACTIVISTS!! I have a feeling this is going to be something really stupid. When did the huffington post become the NY post in the headline department?

She had the party and the media and a primary schedule designed to make it impossible for anyone else to compete. Kerry's general election included 3 excellent debates and a positive inspiring convention. HRC clearly saw 2004, she has lifted any number of words and positions - what she will never have is his integrity or character.
