He obviously wasn't giving anybody the finger, but...
A) If people PERCEIVE it as intentional, it wouldn't be bad. Hillary has a 58% negative rating according to the latest ABC/WaPo poll. The American people are already giving her the finger, and most of those 58% would chuckle to themselves and agree with the gesture.
B) If people PERCEIVE it as a harmless gesture, then Obama's statements about the media being more interested in distractions than issues gets REINFORCED and the voters will bite back against the MSM.
Some added bonuses....
1) Every second of media time spent on this is one less second on Ayers, Wright, or any other issue
2) The middle finger is NOT a gesture that "elitists" use. ;-)
The American people... and especially PA voters.... are not as stupid as you think they are. I really, truly hope that MSNBC, Fox, and CNN are talking about this all weekend. I'm praying for it, actually.
