2. Good you are able to do that. I will give him some but I can't hand over $2100 to him.
I need to put it in the bank the way this economy is headed..........

3. Spread it out.
Obama has lots of $ now. I will wait until he gets the nomination. Give some to the Democratic Senate/House/Governor candidates. And save some for your local people too.

6. Please reconsider, unless you can afford it. I admire you're wanting to give,
but you and your family comes first.

7. It depends
on how much you are getting, and if you need that money to pay off more important things, like critical living things like pay heating bills, rent, mortage, etc.

No harm in giving a share. Only give all if you don't need the money for anything else.

8. Very nice gesture
And if you do it before the end of the month, it will be matched by another donor IIRC. :toast:

9. I'm sick to death of them swindling our money, and then
trying to buy us off with these little dollops. They are stealing us blind.

It just seems kind of appropriate to use their bribe money against their interests, instead of spending it on trinkets like they are telling us to do.

11. The food banks are having a terrible time with this economy.
Maybe you would consider giving some to them and some to Obama. Just a suggestion of course. But there are so many out there who are having to go to charities for help now. Unfortunately, the food banks say that their donations are way down and some have had to close their doors.

12. Do what I do
Give a small donation once a month. Sometimes I give $25.00, sometimes it's more like $5.00. I don't do the autopay, although that is an option. I give at the first of the month when the paycheck comes in.

This way, you are helping continuously. This way, you can give support all through November.

This way, you can put the rest in the bank or pay off some bills.

18. You could look at it as an investment, in the Democratic Party, in this country, and hell, for that
matter, for an investment in the future of this whole damn world. Is it that important? Could be.

20. I guess if I had spent the time imagining what I was going to buy
with my bribe money, I probably wouldn't feel this way. But I haven't been thinking about it, in fact today is the first time I actually thought about the fact that we are supposed to be getting a check.

In this day and age when it's hard to feel effective when you protest, somehow, doing this feels like a real effective protest.

Since when did the government start handing out checks to everybody anyway? Is this something new in America, since the Bush years? Getting these little payoffs? Wink wink, nod nod? And just think about it, this one is bigger than the last one, isn't it?

23. Well, at least it would be spent in the USA. When it is spent
at Wal-Mart, it goes to boost the Chinese economy.
