I had a good ole boy say to me today |
|
"I kinda like that Obama feller but I don't wanna vote for no mooslem". I gave him some web sites to go to to debunk this and other urban myths, ie snopes.com. What else can I do or say? I am hopeful though because this is in Mississippi and that he would even entertain the thought is really a big deal.

I had a fellow I have known for 15 years say to me
"I like him, but I can't get past his name"
WTF.
Wake up people. George "Fucking" Bush is a normal sounding name. Look what we got.

6. Its Mississippi. Its a polite way of saying he won't vote for a black. |
|
He's saying, he likes that black guy, but he won't vote for a black.
But at least he is more polite than other white Mississippians I used to have to put up with.
