My experience at the Philly rally--in pictures. (extreme dial-up warning)
Today was rally day.

First was the task of signing up election-day volunteers in exchange for tickets. Those tickets were gold. We got so many new volunteers today, that I can't even bear to count them tonight.

Then it was off to the rally. Because I'm so exhausted, I'll first tell my story in pictures and give you all a more detailed recap tomorrow, when I can think straight.

First, the crowd heading in. This is just a fraction of the line. They had the line divided in three, as far as I could count.

Here is the spill-over crowd on the other side of Market St.

Here is Will.I.Am and the lead singer of Live warming up the crowd

This is our best pic of the crowd as night set in. That's Independence Hall in the background. The crowd stretched to all the way back there.

The excitement as Barack hits the stage.

Barack speaking (he looks fired up, doesn't he! ;))

Barack leaving

Gratuitous Liberty Bell shot. That's Independence Hall in the reflection.

And, most importantly, I will cast my vote for Barack Obama on one of these machines in approximately 3 days! Yeah, I know, what the hell are they doing sitting there. What can I say, that's Philly.

Hopefully my daughter will have photos from Wynnewood Whistle Stop tour.

21. And such glorious spring weather, too
I'm sure that had at least something to do with the turnout.

Another beautiful day tomorrow as well.

Spring was a little late in Pennsylvania this year -- but it's putting on its best show for Obama now.

22. Thanks for sharing your excellent Pics, Kristi
I HOPE everyone had a great time. I know when he came to Fort Worth the convention center only holds around 20,000 and it was full, I also heard there was a spill over crowd of 20,000 that was seated in the auditorium.

I can't wait to hear your report tomorrow. You deserve some rest after your extremely busy day. :yourock:for Barack.

Your son was born in '67? So was I! Maybe I'm your Cyber Daughter! :D :hi:

(I was getting tears watching the looks on those people's faces as Obama was shaking each one of their hands. Unbelievable.) :hi:
