How about Jerry Brown on the ticket? |
|
Yes, governor moonbeam, so what? He was an effective governor - I think, would like to hear from Californians - and has been an effective mayor of Oakland.
At least, I still would like to have someone who was not a recent opponent of Kerry and who does have an executive experience.

A flake.
Pissed off his share of Democrats.
Too much baggage.

that weasel. Supported that guy since 1976 until the day he turned Oakland into the militarized protestor shooting nightmare it has become. What an asshole. http://www.newsfrombabylon.com/article.php?sid=3031&mode=flat&order=0&thold=0

14. 1976? Yes!!! 2004? No -- sad to say, but no. |
|
Jerry Brown is brilliant, and a true liberal, but his time has come and gone.
The "loon" and "moonbeam" sobriquets are bad raps, and maybe he'll be back someday, but now is not the time.

15. Take it from an oldtime Brown supporter: NO!!! |
|
What he did in the '92 primary by not supporting Clinton (of whom I'm not a big fan, mind you) after he lost shows two major things: deep misunderstanding of the dynamic of bilateral politics and just plain pissy perfectionism.
To be willing to bear the backlash engendered by such a polarizing figure, there has to be a plus. He has no plus.
I still like him, but in a sort of quaint way.
