Hillary doesn't want to "give whoop-de-do speeches and just kind of get everybody whipped up" -VIDEO
Edited on Sat Apr-19-08 04:14 PM by jefferson_dem
The real fun starts at around the 1:00 minute mark of the video, from today, West Chester, Pennsylvania --

...

“I don’t want to just show up and give one of these whoop-de-do speeches, and just kind of get everybody whipped up… I want everybody thinking about what we want to do starting on Tuesday.”

No need to ask when is she going to break. She is dysfunctional!

34. Oh, please explain how Hillary saying she isn't going to
give a Whoop-De-Do speech is sour grapes for Obama? He's not involved in this thread, he wasn't involved in the speech, how could he possibly have "sour grapes" over something he doesn't even know about?

So? Oh wait I get it, you mean sour grapes from Obama supporters Ok...

24. She knows that Obama had a...
...very successful, blowout rally in PA---where 35,000 people showed up.

She has to bash excitement, enthusiasm somehow. She has to somehow smash all
of that positive energy and uplifting optimism with her big, giant hammer.

From now on--any stunning, encouraging, intelligent speech from Obama that
garners unparalleled success will be referred to as, "woop-de-doo" or "hell
on a stick" or "a frustrating traffic jam without snacks."

Hillary Clinton--determined to find the cloud on every silver lining!

THAT may come back and bite her in the ass.

1)Voting to send our soldiers to war

2) Debts out her ass

3) Pick a HRC -gate, any -gate

The list could go ON and ON and ON.

The people behind her look less than thrilled, almost bored. And when did the lady who is wearing the HRC sign as a HAT think this was a good thing to do? Yeah she may be hot or something but when you are right behind the candidate and the cameras are rolling?

Edited on Sat Apr-19-08 05:04 PM by TwoSparkles
....like an exciting political rally attended by 35,000 optimistic supporters--sound like a bad thing.

Some of you are so willing to follow her down this dark rat hole.

When we had spectacular rallies from Kerry, Gore and other Democrats--we all applauded and
were encouraged at so much involvement and participating from "We The People."

Now, in the world according to Hillary--enthusiasm and inspirational speeches are bad news.

Hillary sinks to new lows and sounds like a big pile of sour grapes when she has to position an
energetic political rally and an inspiring speech as some kind of action that we should all be
ashamed of.

She sounds like a cynical whiner.

55. In fact, here's the advice he's given
about his horrible speeches:

Willie Starke: "What we need is a balanced tax program. Right now the ratio between income tax and total income for the state gives us an index that--"

"Yeah," I said, "I heard the speech. But they don't give a damn about that. Hell, make 'em cry, make 'em laugh, make 'em think you're their weak erring pal, or make 'em think you're God-Almighty. Or make 'em mad. Even mad at you. Just stir 'em up, it doesn't matter how or why, and they'll love you and come back for more. Pinch 'em in the soft place. They aren't alive, most of 'em, and haven't been alive in twenty years. Hell, their wives have lost their teeth and their shape, and likker won't set on their stomachs, and they don't believe in God, so it's up to you to give 'em something to stir 'em up and make 'em feel alive again. Just for half an hour. That's what they come for. Tell 'em anything. But Sweet Jesus' sake don't try to improve their minds."

Cynical, yeah. But there's a kernel of truth in there.

56. Ok and I just watched the video clip in the OP.
She actually SAID she doesn't want to give a big whoop de do speech and get people all fired up, she wants to get people THINKING.

Hillary? Read that qoute I typed out from that classic novel. Read it. You're doing it wrong. People WANT to be fired up. They just aren't fired up about you.

And apparently not even your supporters. I was cracking up at the people behind her. Rarely are they ever so funny. One woman just put her Hillary sign on her head and left it there the whole time. Another woman was, for some reason, wacking her camera with the palm of her hand repeatedly. I loved the old guy digging in his nose with the hanky and the people on the left of the screen chatting and saying hello for a while.
