Hillary campaigners complaining about being outspent are missing the point.......

.... money raised, especially when it has been raised from nearly 1.5 million donors, is a strong sign of popular support.

Hillary's inability to raise money is a sign that the American voting public is rejecting her. People put their money where their mouth is.

The mere fact that Obama can outspend Hillary 3-to-1 shows that he is the stronger candidate.

Because McCain will be taking public financing (since he is having trouble raising money) and he'll only have $86 million.

Obama will have more than triple that in the GE.... and he'll be able to outspend McCain 3-to-1 too.

It's a sign of his strength as a candidate. 1.5 million donors, 80% of which have not tapped out at $2300, is an ATM machine for Obama.

The fact that Hillary doesn't have something similar is a clear sign that Obama is the better candidate for the GE.

If she can't raise the money now, how will she raise it against McCain? Those 1.5 million Obama donors aren't going to be available to her, not after all the crap she's pulled the past two months.

1. If The Clintons Had Raised More Than Obama, They'd Be Careful Not
to exploit their advantage - they'd only spend as much as he spent, and save the rest for the GE.

4. Are you serious?
"Careful with their money" has not been a hallmark of the Clinton campaign, nor has "refraining from using advantages, fair or unfair."

10. Sorry I mis-read your intention
I'm not usually so dense. Blame it on the unbelievable claims seen regularly here on GD:P.

5. Can't do that... money raised for the primary can't be used in the GE, and vice versa...

Everyone is allowed to donate $2300 for the primary, and another $2300 for the GE.

The Hillary donors that are tapped out for the primary at $2300 can still give... but it goes toward Hillary's "GE fund" and cannot be used now.

Lastly..... her donation will be drying up simply because people don't typically bet on 20-to-1 odds much.

12. Kerry had money left over and he gave it to other Democratic campaigns
but I wouldn't count on Hillary doing that.

20. That's why she's not doing better with the SDs.. She OVER-raised on her re-election
and had a TON of cash on-hand for her current campaign.. Everyone was talking about it.. "Why is she raising SO much money, when her re-election was a shoo-in... she's planning for her presidential run in '08"...

She COULD have used part of it THEN to help some vulnerable dems who needed help, but she hoarded it all for her '08 run...

She's NOT a team-player..and the SDs know it.. that's why only 1/4 of them initially signed her dance card..... as a former first lady, and current senator from NY, one would think that at least 1/2 would have jumped on her bandwagon..

They know her best..and they don't like her either ..

15. I read an article before. It said you can transfer money from the primaries to the GE but not vice
versa.

21. Ummm... they've already spent more than they've raised ...
... so "careful" doesn't enter into it. And if she had more money, she'd be spending that, too.

How can she run a campaign when she can't even run a campaign well. . .?
