9. RERUN...but why choose the "Anti-Obama" episode now? |
|
With all of the recent SNL episodes in the can, why choose the pro-Hillary right before the PA elections? Wouldn't have been more fair to BOTH CANDIDATES to choose a re-run without problems for either candidate?
Follow the chain for the answer:
SNL --> NBC --> GE --> War profiteers --> Support of pro-war candidates in Washington --> Hillary votes for IWR (and now indicates WAR AGAINST IRAN is a distinct possibility).

Damn, I haven't watched SNL in 20 years and the one night I decide to watch it, it's a damn rerun. Go figure...
Man, they really need to find somebody better to do Obama, though, I'll tell ya that. That guy sucks.

19. SNL mocked Gore but flattered Bush in 2000 |
|
Gore (as portrayed by Darrell Hammond) was exaggerated as a buffoon and (Will Ferrell's portrayal of) Bush was of a modest, soft-spoken, virtuous man trying to withstand the buffoonery of Gore.
Even in 2000, it was despicable. I have refused to watch SNL ever since.

A lot of skits come on that don't even get me to crack a smile. I instead sit there thinking, gee this is pretty dumb. Like tonight's "fierce!" "hot mess!" "tranny tranny!"... *yawn*

22. I don't understand all the damn reruns |
|
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 12:14 PM by RamboLiberal
They were off during a long writer's strike, so when they come back during a very HOT political season they manage to produce a couple of live episodes which they are now repeating!
One would think with the long time off they'd be doing fresh episodes weekly till they go on summer hiatus.
IMHO SNL is another of those NBC shows that has outlived its era. While dated SNL are not producing fresh shows, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert will be out there doing fresh/smart driven by the political news of the moment smart humor!
To me SNL is the Clintons, Stewart and Colbert are Obama.
