A couple of simple questions about Bill Clinton:
Edited on Sun Apr-20-08 12:18 AM by cliffordu
Do you REALLY want Bill Clinton back in the White House for another 4 years??

Do you REALLY see him staying away from trying to influence policy??

Tea in the Rose Garden with Nicolas Sarkozy's wife??? How's that going to play??

I'm just sayin'

Edited subject line.....

12. He's a sex addict. One 'slip' and her entire administration
becomes a pathetic joke in this uptight hypocritical country of ours.

4. Not if she bombs the shit out of Iran......

And by the way, that prosperity?? MOST of that was the dot-com boom. Look it up.

Between the dot com bubble going south and NAFTA doing the damage during Bushie's admin, I dunno if all that peace and prosperity is a truth or not.

10. Right-wing talking point, about the dot.com bubble.
Yes, I would love to have Bill Clinton around for another four years. It would be much better than Cindy McCain.

16. Yep - elitist!!
High school drop out after death of my father, so I could support my mother.

Vietnam veteran - school on the GI bill

Studied and learned computers in my spare time

Took time to read real articles about the difference between Obama and Hillary. Became elitist.

17. You're right
There would be 24 hour media attention focused on First Man Bill Clinton, who would attract far more media attention than President Hillary.

It would be like the 90s all over again, 24-hour tabloid TV that is, distracting us from real pressing issues.

NOTHING would get done.

but I never said I wouldn't vote for her if she were the nominee.

But the way she has embraced the media's tabloid style coverage of the elections gives us a clue of what to expect a HRC presidency would be like.

22. What bothers me the most is that whomever gets picked as VP..won't be.
If that person chose to run after she was done, their credentials would would be suspect..because it's hard for me to think that BC could "stay-out-of it"..

Even HRC's "decisions" would be immediately compared to things that BC said in the past or at the very least he would be asked, ad finitum..."Is this a good idea, did she consult you..what do YOU think"..

She's a PROXY.. a stand-in for HIM..and we all know it..

28. Her campaign has been a trainwreck .
Really stunning on a number of levels. I agree with this resembling a proxy run, and it's bittersweet to see both the Clintons exposed in this embarrassing drama.

At the same time I am convinced due to a constellation of factors that Barack Obama is precisely the candidate for this moment in history.

So, all's well that ends well ... for America.

21. I've wondered about that a lot.
I mean, my husband and I are from a younger generation than the Clintons and even we would find it incredibly awkward if I had the job he once had AND it was the most powerful job in the world and he was supposed to now take a backseat and like, host state dinners and do interviews with morning television about the Christmas decorations and shit.

I just can't see him being a first laddie. And as much as I liked him as a president, the presidency's not a buy one get one free sale.

26. Bill Clinton has never taken a back seat to anyone in his life,
and he ain't about to start.

What kind of deep seated contempt did he have to have to "not have sex with that woman" in the white house while his WIFE was in the other room?

Do you think that contempt still exists??
