Update: John Dickerson at Slate on the hypocrisy between what Obama says and what his aides do.

:wtf:
As for Obama's positive message of hope and change on the campaign trail and how he won't be a typical politician but one who brings a breath of fresh air to Washington, here's what he said today:

Barack Obama cast his Democratic presidential rival Saturday as a game-player who uses "slash and burn" tactics and will say whatever people want to hear, a sharp jab at her character in the final chapter of the pivotal Pennsylvania primary campaign.

...."Senator Clinton has internalized a lot of the strategies, the tactics, that have made Washington such a miserable place."
:grr:
:nuke:

...."She's got the kitchen sink flying and the china flying, the buffet is coming at me ... constant distractions, these petty, trivial, slash and burn, back and forth, tit for tat, politics."
:grr:
:nuke:

Mirror, mirror on the wall? It's politics as usual from the candidate for change

Gallup today has Hillary up in the national tracking poll, the first time since mid-March.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/106606/Gallup-Daily-Clinton-46-Obama-45.aspx
:woohoo::woohoo:
As to the numbers, Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio endorsed Hillary Clinton today. This is her fourth superdelegate gain this week. MSNBC reports:

4/18/2008:applause:
Clinton Adds Three Superdelegates Today
Former NJ Governors Jim Florio & Brendan Byrne, follow US Rep Betty Sutton (D-OH) in pledging their support to Hillary
Former New Jersey Governors Jim Florio

Update: More politics of hypocrisy from the Obama campaign, now claiming on a conference call today that Hillary isn't fit to lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier because of her Bosnia misstatement. Of course, Obama just said at the debate he wasn't commenting on the Bosnia story.

It's coming down to we can't even trust his words. And words are all he has shown us so far.

***************************************************************************************************

He has been crying to the media and his disciples about(false) Hillary attacks, while simultaneously launching his own, from the very beginning!
:yoiks:
Obama is the worst thing that happened to our party. And his 'Obamacan' followers are just as bad, He has been collecting young college kids and training them to be little "soldier of change"...THAT is scary. Obama Time? Obama BRAND! HA! WTF?? Wake up Dems!!!!:grr:

3. man, this pull petty shit out of your ass
and then scream that anyone who's ever Thought of Obama is a creature, a monster is getting so OLD..

The old Neener neener neener, I hate you, slash and burn makes those that practice it into a hateful moron who NO ONE is going to listen to..

You want to try to convince people that Clinton is somehow a better candidate with credentials?

Because those who profess that they hate everyone but Hillary seem to be wondering themselves if they're right.

Chill a little, and you might actually be listened to, or does the wave of hate just exist for its own sake?

is the shadow of a black man supposed to instill a sort of a reaction? Would that work for Hillary?

6. Excellent post!
I would highly recommend every real Democrat to read this incisive but accurate post. Watch out, the snot-nosed Obama robots will not like this trashing of their beloved Messiah. Where is the love? Where is the unity?

7. Unity is only an attack for the candidate that's winning.
When one candidate doesn't even have to worry about unity, that means her followers have accepted that she has lost.

Thanks for your confirmation.

10. It's full of half truths.
The former General did make those comments about Bosnia and then the campaign turned around and
Spokesman Hari Sevugan said: “We obviously do not agree with that sentiment.”

I could go on but why bother.

throwing the kitchen sink while proclaiming he wasn't.

The OP totally confuses me.
I do not see any of the boogie man stuff about Obama that those without my past experiences and perspectives do.

21. I agree. Quote is accurate. Hillary's like a pterodactyl...
...Very powerful and effective in her time, but when evolution moved on, she has problems competing because she only knows the old survival tactics, and those are no longer what the environment demands.

She and Bill are old in so many aspects, but their ages are the least of what is important.

It's their old-ways thinking, their old-style politics which they copied from Bush/Rove, and their old approach to important issues (which are also like Bush/Rove's) that make them noncompetitive in the new political environment.

Voters are SICK TO FUCKING DEATH of Rove/Bush politics and policies. That is why Hillary's approval numbers keep falling.

That's also why she has gone from "inevitible" to "clinging by fingernails": the more voters see of her and Obama, the more they recoil from Hillary and move towards Obama.

So the Clintons the pterodactyl is unable to evolve, and so will be ultimately selected out of the political environment by the voters.

Natural selection is brutal and unforgiving, but the process is crucial for the survival of life forms, both physical and political. Like physical natural selection, political natural selection ensures that only the most fit and most able to compete will use the limited available resources.

Like the pterodactyl, Hillary's time has come, she thrived, but now her time is over. Forcing her out of the race now would ensure that the limited resources available to Democrats will be used for the victory of the Democratic Party political species in November 2008.

9. Hasn't those three been listed in her column all along?

Afaik, the only difference is that it has been confirmed by the state party elections, confirming them as superdelegates.
Which is how its done in all the states, afaik.

Feel free to correct me. I am not 100% sure on this.

13. A logical progression would be nice.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying that in order to get your point across, you might want to lead logically from one idea to the next. It's the sort of thing that facilitates human interaction.

For instance, if you want to say that Obama isn't the candidate for change in DC, you should probably follow it up with an example of Obama being a typical DC insider. Showing Obama fighting Rove-ian politics by pointing them out for what they are is in no way typical DC and in no way illustrates a disconnect. Honest discourse that peels away the layers of false indignation and manufactured outrage that Hillary seems to rely on *is* change and change for the better.

16. WTF? "Obama is the worst thing that happened to our party" Bringing new voter/donors
into the party is bad?

"He has been collecting young college kids and training them to be little "soldier of change" Does it ever occur to you that college kids are thinkers, most college kids are tuned in to the power of the internet and have a wealth of facts to base their choices on? It's no wonder that Sen Obama is attracting the better educated.

23. So basically Obama should ignore Hillary's lies, deceptions and negative campaigning
Obama should just stay on policy topics and ignore clinton being an ass? Try again.. He is not going to lose just because the public is endorsing a Rovian campaign..
