1. You mean someone who actually has solutions and an agenda
but "hope and change"?

3. But Clark is in the race...as a Clinton supporter, at least that's what
I gathered from seeing him sitting behind her.

4. It was nice having some substance around, wasn't it?
Now all we get is a bad episode of American Idol.

6. Yeah. The level of discussion was a lot higher
when Edwards was in. I was a Clarkista in 2004 ... I wish Wes had spent more time on economic policy because he had some really interesting ideas there. They needed time in the oven, but I liked his basic approach.

I've said it before ... will say it again. We need to take guys like Edwards, Kucinich, Clark, Samantha Power, Dean, and Webb and lock them in hotel rooms. We give them an inexhaustible supply of pizza, coffee, doughnuts, research assistants, and when needed consultants. We don't let them out until they emerge with a coherent progressive model for the first half of the 21st century.

8. It's clear that what we're doing now isn't working.
I think your idea sounds good.

10. you bet
Too bad the only real candidates never seem to get anywhere... again I have the choice of voting for the lessor of evils or not voting at all... the candidates we have today are interchangeable ....

11. I was having pangs of really missing JRE yesterday
I was at the Obama event and it was bittersweet. I support Senator Obama, but standing there, I couldn't help thinking that it should have been John.

12. Clark would get beat in todays politics. He is too nice and logical..
Politics has turned into a race of finding old sound bites of your opponent and then beating it to death.
Clark would try to stay on the real issues and would not cry or yell into the camera.
We though we had a candidate that could rise above it and win.. But nope, people would rather see a fight and a smear campaign these days...

15. I think there's a reasonable chance one will end up V.P. cand.
Everyone keeps saying how important the white male vote is going to be, so would that make sense?

17. Yeah, it's pretty bad when
the only person to talk about issues in 2 months is the one that was forced out. He said more about issues in his few minutes on Colbert than any of the candidates have in 2 months. Sad.
