But, then, I am pretty much a Neanderthal when it comes to contemporary slang (I don't get out, much).

I thought "I got your back" was much the same as "I've got you covered".

And that was always applied to the aggressor in the action.

So I believe they are casting HRC as the hard-charger here.

Of course, I could also be 180 degrees off-track.
