Many Hillary supporters if they will admit it........ |
|
support her mainly because she is a woman and by God if she doesn't get the nomination they will not vote for the man that has beaten her. That is as sexist as you can get.
I prefer Barack, not because he's black, not because he is a man, but because of his campaign, the excitement I see for him from the young (who are the future of the party), the fact that he was against the Irag war before it started. I believe his the better candidate because much of his monetary support comes from individuals like me. I think that he is much more electable than her.
Hillary's negatives nationwide have always been over 50%. That is not because of Obama, I think much of it is baggage from Bill's presidency. She was the presumed victor and yes the MSM did look at her campaign more negatively. They would have been more critical of Barack's if he had been the presumed victor. That was not his fault. She ran a disorganized campaign, did not make plans for the other primaries after Super Tuesday, this was not Obama's fault. Her staff has been at each others throats. That is not Barack's fault. She is losing because she raised a lot less money than he. She depended on party fat cats, and he depend mainly on individuals that give about $100 a pop. That is not Barack's fault. Much of the Clinton anger needs to go to a poorly strategized campaign, a warring staff, and money spent unwisely. Again this is not the Obama campaign's fault. Her use of the internet to organize was juvenile compared to his well organized campaign. Not Obama's fault.
For a democrat to vote for McCain or sit out the GE if their candidate does not get the nomination, reminds me of the sixth graders I teach. If they get mad at each other they want to take their ball and go home. It is immature, juvenile behavior, that I expect to see from preteens not adults during one of the most important elections in our lifetimes.
If Hillary, who I think was a much better candidate until she went negative, is the nominee I will support her as I have Barack. I will make phone calls, go door to door, and give each month as I have to him.
Things have been said from both sides that are regretful. I have heard Hillary say some of those things, I have not heard Barack put her down as she has put him down. Yes surrogates have but you haven't heard it from him. Her negativity has cost her votes.
Let's pull together after the nomination is decided and win in November. Our children's and grandchildren's futures depend on it. I am an aging hippie and I am sorrybushcamefromtexas
