1. Kerry's doing okay for someone who hasn't really ramped up his campaign
These are better numbers than the last one.

2. Kerry is in a stronger position than Al Gore was in 2000 at this time
But there is a long way to go and many more carefully orchestrated "events" that will have to be navigated through.

3. what's depressing is the Florida "lean"
Which is a subtle reminder of the 2000 purge. And, by the way, happened again. But I've heard that some counties have just tossed out the purge list and are refusing to even consider purging.

I also have my doubts about Oregon going to the chimp.

7. A Florida poll that came out today has Kerry slightly ahead
that may not have been factored in. BTW, the total should be Bush 271, Kerry 267.

4. Bullshit. AWOL will NOT get New Mexico or Oregon
President Dumbass has chosen NOT to help the state of New Mexico in fighting the wildfires that had been raging there for weeks.

No way in hell will the repukes steal Oregon either... and I doubt they'll get Wisconsin.

5. Yeah, Oregon is vote-by-mail
so it would be hard to steal. We are pretty divided, but I don't think Bush's support is strong. His opposition is, though.

8. Yep. Helps with the turnout.
We were at 80%, highest in the nation, in 2002.

10. Look at all of those uninformed people in the nation...
Pretty scary, isn't it? What the hell is up with Wisconsin?

13. Wow. IL has joined the ranks of NY, MA, and CA.
Sure, it's been drifting more and more blue over the past few elections.

But with the state GOP imploding over Jack Ryan and Bush STILL not on the ballot (the September GOP convention misses the deadline for ballot access), it might be time to finally add Illinois to the list of guaranteed blue-states.

Kerry could save some serious money and redirect his resources to the Ohios, Pennsylvanias, and Floridas on the map.

:bounce:

BTW, what's up with Oregon?
