Running a campaign is like running a Country
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 08:29 AM by nomad1776
It's an organization, that requires leadership, good people running things and good fiscal management. In fact none of the candidates have ever been a CEO or the chief exec of an organization. These campaigns are the first chance they have to show the public how well they run things.

So based on this performance, which of the three has shown the best leadership ability?

Obama- Flushed with more cash than the other two combined. Has not taken any money from special interests. His campaign has rarely made a mistake and have been consistently on message.

Hillary- Awash in a see of red ink. This campaign has had to retool it's message multiple times. High up people have been repeatedly fired. The campaign made major blunders including thinking all would be over after super Tuesday. It's debt was caused in part by lavious living by the campaign itself.

McCain- Had to retool his campaign and needed a government bail out to prevent it from going belly up. His campaign is run by special interest groups.

5. They got out-played in FL and his home state did not vote for him.
The Bush campaign made something out of nothing.

The Gore campaign made nothing out of something.

4. I knew someone was going to make the obv "Bush" claim
I understand your point, but Bush also had fundraising connections and a political family brand name, like Clinton, that Obama didn't have.

8. In a sense Bush was an effective president- he got the repukes what they wanted
The repukes wanted

- War... Check

- Tax Cuts for the Rich... Check

- Move the Supreme Court to the right... Check

- Higher Gas Prices... Check

- Less Government oversight and regulation.... Check

The problem was what the repukes wanted for the Country, was what was good for the Country.

11. Would be true if . .
George Bush actually ran a campaign. Bush is just a useful idiot who was propelled into power by the corporatocracy. Bush didn't run anything.

7. If you can't manage your check book
don't you touch our money Hillary!!! :puke:

This is one scary lady.

Even the Accountants that she hired without pay can't reel her in.

Bet she can go through Bloomingdales in nothing flat.
The fact that she has not been asked about it is really telling!

17. Well just because you uttered your words, doesn't make them true
Then again, it's more than likely you can't provide a rational explanation for your opinion (since it's wrong).

22. Well said! but...

George Bush ran one of the best campaigns in American history in 2000 & 2004. It was done with pure genius and not a single mistake. His campaign was more or less ran perfectly.

Really showed how good of a leader he was huh?
