Let's assume it's June she's won the states she expected to and Obama wins the ones he's expected to...she knows she has to take it to the convention, so what can stop her?

I think a sit down meeting with Gore, Pelosi, Carter and other party big wigs.

Or Bill will have to tell her because he might be the one person she'll listen to.

Or lack of money.

4. Hillary Clinton is the last hope of the right-wing of the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Leadership Council and the Blue Dog Caucus will do whatever it takes to override the will of the voters simply to ensure their continued viability in a post-Bush government. We must not permit that to happen.

3. Enough Super Delegates will have to come out for Obama...
...even then she would wait it out to see if he/she or someone destroyed his electability before the convention.

7. Don't waste too much time...
After all the PROBABILITY of a divided convention
is EXACTLY the same that of a tomorrow Obama win.

So, be positive, just wait until tomorrow night. ;)

8. WHY SHOULD SHE QUIT?
The race is still competitive! Keep wishing and dreaming that this race is a open and shut as you want it to be, but remember, OBAMA CANNOT WIN WITHOUT SUPER DELEGATES!

Just because Senator Clinton needs those same super delegates, doesn't mean she should drop out.

10. There's a difference between having the most deleagtes and needing a few to get you to the magic num
and having less delegates, and needing a HUGE amount of SDs to get not only overtake the other man, but get you to the number.

The first one is merely reinforcing the will of the voters, the second option is overturning it.

That's is why the 'well neither of them can get to 2025' arguement is flawed.

15. The difference is, she needs a lot more of them
Hillary needs 60% of all remaining delegates (pledged + super) while Obama needs only 40%.

Given that Hillary has only managed to reach 60% of the delegates in 3 out of 47 contests so far (while Obama has done so in 22), maybe you can explain how she's going to do that in every single one of the remaining 10 states.

11. I think she knows this is done.
I think Hillary knows this is done and she is just looking for the right spot to bow out. Bow out as in "Holy shit I need to make this look like I was some kind of victim" for next time.

14. If this were Edwards or Richardson they'd have been urged to drop out by now too
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 08:48 AM by galaxy21
I don't buy the 'sexism' excuse.

And the same woman crying 'sexism' is the one that's trying to argue the other candidate can't win because he's black.

17. If it were Edwards or Richardson the would have the grace to drop out on their own
instead of staying in for the sole purpose of tearing down the presumed nominee.

Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 08:50 AM by Buzz Clik
... somebody gets the mandatory 2200+ delegates.

Note the count: he included Michigan, Florida, and all the Supers. In other words, she's going to be like the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. "Tis but a scratch."

21. She can't and the supers know it. HRC has not got the grass roots
and her campaign has offended most of the tradition DEM coalition, so she is not gonna find more money under her pillow unless she looses a lot of teeth.
