I can understand the democratic point of view in that they want to demonize Mccain as soon and as often as possible, but really i dont think anyone will ever top bush. A man who "won" two elections by the slimmest of margins (or not even that) and proceeding to run the country like it was his own personal empire.

1. ROFL....
Obama supporters called Clinton a traitor and used any suggestions that she has been a friend of McCain as proof of her inhumanity and reason to hate her with such a passion.

But, when Obama does it, he is just stating the truth.

14. Clinton did not say Obama was better than McCain - only that she and McCain are proven and Obama is
new and must convince the public that God Damn America Wright and Terrorist Ayers do not show Obama the wimp the way the GOP painted Kerry in 04.

Obama blew up several million dollars and months of effort by the party to paint McCain as the continuation of Bush - "he's better" will be used to kill that theme.

3. Nope. Clinton said McCain would be a better prez than Obama, Obama said McCain is better than Bush.
Big difference and she is a traitor for saying it.

10. You're losing all perspective, or you're being intentionally obtuse.
Saying that McCain is fully qualified to be president but Obama is not is a far cry from saying that McCain would be a better president than Bush.

But you don't care about that. It's all about dragging down the opponent at all costs.

20. oh please. Obama says the same thing and you all cheer.
When Clinton says it you moan and stomp your feet and HATE her.

The double standard on DU is laughable.

What is the reason? I have many theories.

"dragging down opponent at all costs" That fits Obama exactly. Thank you. When he shouted that the Clintons were "Racist!" from the rooftops in SC, he lost my support. I will never ever support someone who uses race to win an election.

21. I still can't decide: losing perspective or intentionally obtuse.
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 09:13 AM by Buzz Clik
I'm leaning toward intentionally obtuse because I tend not to assume that people are mentally unstable.

By the way -- loved your new "Obama is a sexist" thread. :sarcasm:

All sexists are married to strong successful lawyers, right?

or are just being an ass-wipe.

He is using sexist language purposefully. It is no accident. It is not a coincidence. You are so blinded by your hate that you choose not to see reality. This is not the first time, as was shown in my thread. Someone posted a story about the purposeful language he uses.

25. If your going to judge me by what some nuts in here have posted, should i do the same with you?
Im talking about the general dem strategy of a max "mccain is bush" push 24/7. I dont think its necessary to go that far with Mccain when its obvious he wouldnt have made so many of the mistakes that bush did. That doesnt change the fact that mccain still thinks iraq is a "good" war.

9. "man" should also be in quotes
"A 'man' who 'won' two elections. . . ."

don't think you would find a human bone in that mass. Totally without the qualities that distinguish us from the rest of the other animals - "humaneness", "compassion", "ability to think", etc

29. It seems so. However, McSame is old, easily agitated, and possibly senile
So who knows what new wars he could drum up based on his temper.

At first glance though, it does appear that even McSame would be better than Bush. That's why so many on our side are willing to stay home if their nominee of choice doesn't make it.
