EARTHSHATTERING: RUSH LIMBAUGH BEMOANS REPUBLICANS WHO ARE SUPPORTING OBAMA IN THE GE!!!
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 11:55 AM by kwenu
HAPPENING NOW!!!!

So I tune in to Rut Limpballs on occasion when I can stomach it to see what he is up too and low and behold, he is addressing what I already knew to be true about some Republicans.

Rut said he spent the weekend trying to understand Republicans who have declared they will vote Obama in the GE. He admitted in his conversations with them that they DON'T CARE ABOUT REV. WRIGHT and they DON'T CARE ABOUT AYERS because those things are in the PAST and not RELEVANT.

These Republicans say they like Obama (he says they are "enamored" of Obama) and he is PISSED that they are being called the equivalent of Reagan Democrats.

Rush says the Republicans will have to RECONSIDER HOW TO ATTACK OBAMA in the Fall.

He is continuing his diatribe against these Republicans as I write this.

I already know Republicans who WILL NOT, WILL NOT vote for a continuation of the IRAQ WAR and WILL NOT, WILL NOT vote for Hillary or McCain.

Go OBAMA!!!!

UPDATE: Here is a link to the Politico story that RUT is losing his mind over. He has lost control of his "Operation Chaos." These Newly Registered Democrats INTEND to VOTE Democrat.

2. I heard that- BIG change of tone from Limbaugh- grudging respect for Obama
and the support he is getting. Of course, Limbaugh dismissed it as a cult of personality, but for the first time Rush seems scared that a lot of these Republicans who registered as Democratics did so - gasp! - out of their own convictions rather than in blind obedience to a certain drug addict radio host. Apparently some new polls show this to be the case, though I got in on the end of a segment.

3. He's bitter because "Operation Chaos" isn't working.
Limbaugh is a carnival barker...no more, no less.

He knows what to say to get a segment of society riled up and he uses that ability to make money. He has no moral or personal stake in this...and, because of that, he'll continue doing it, regardless of the outcome.

We can't "beat" Limbaugh, because he's nothing but smoke. That's fine. We don't need him to stop talking, we need to educate people so they realize that there's no substance behind his squawking...he's just man who can read a crowd and use that ability to make money.

4. So if he thinks Obama is so bad (and therefore easy to beat) I wonder if he ordered his
followers to now vote for OBAMA in the primary so McCain can run against, and beat, HIM (when it used to be Hillary he felt this way about).

8. I suspect this is a get-out-the-vote tactic for his Hillary Republicans
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 12:02 PM by CK dexter
I can't imagine he'd admit that people don't care about the Obama attacks unless he saw some benefit to it. He's trying to scare his viewers with the threat of an Obama victory in PA, so they'll go out and vote.

10. He'll be doing that regardless of the candidate
There will be a lot of crossover from Republican to Democratic this year, regardless of the nominee. Personally, I think more will cross over for Obama than Clinton, but expect Numbnuts and the rest of his ilk to be blasting them as traitors the entire time.

15. Yeah, that sounds more like it.
Mush built his entire career on playing to Republican fears.

Secretly though, he's praying for an Obama presidency, so he'll have another 8 years to bitch about something.

28. Obama is a complete curveball to the republicans
They were expecting to run against Hillary. I've heard it said that they chose McCain to oppose her. Running Obama will throw a serious wrench in their works.

25. Oh they know the right smear allright.
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 12:48 PM by YOY
Those who will never vote Democratic know it well. It's the main reason why they wouldn't vote for him...that reason is well beyond Obama being a Democrat. They only whisper it to themselves when they are sure we are not around.

That smear would cost them more votes than it would win them.

Let the first one of them open their mouths and say that word publically. Let it sink them once and for all.

It would be more ironically more powerful to the intened insultee than the insulter.

26. bluster intended to cover up the actual chaos which ensued?
Especially since he could be in some serious legal trouble for doing so?

(He could have been in Ohio under former S.O.S. Ken Blackwell's laws ... which the Dem S.O.S. said would have been unconstitutional to enforce ... but that didn't stop the Repukes from making illegal laws used only for intimidation ...)

27. Another Worry Bites The Dust
I have been very dubious of the republican cross over votes because my mistrust for republicans (neocons) is huge. This is welcome news so I can stop fussing about it. Those of you who said the support was real was right and I am thrilled.
