He's interviewing Hillary tonight (http://thenewshole.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/04/21/926848.aspx) , I think it would make a LOVELY question topic. :D

Edit: I just posted it as a comment to that announcement (once it gets through moderation). Hopefully they're reading them. Now where's CNN's contact page...

3. I think Hillary needs to reject and denounce these remarks
By not doing so, she seems to be suggesting that she implicitly agrees with them.

Tee hee...

19. I remember this event VERY well
The NOI held a march up Grey's Ferry because of a series of racist attacks. I lived at 23rd and St Albans--the garden block you see in the opening scene of The Sixth Sense--which is very close to Grey's Ferry, but about 2 miles from where all the craziness was taking place. The neighborhood was more mixed then than it is now; it has become pretty gentrified, although some of the African American families that used to dominate the area have managed to hang on to their homes. At any rate, the neighborhood was all abuzz that day and it felt very live, very tense.

Rendell did the right thing by going to this event, which was going to happen with or without him, and in praising Rev. Farrakhan. It gave him some degree of control of the event, which he and the city needed. One sensed that it could have gotten out of control if he hadn't embraced the NOI, not because of the NOI, but because tensions further up Grey's Ferry were so high.

And let's remember that Rendell himself didn't dog Obama for Farrakhan. Hillary did. She, I'm sure, doesn't understand big city politics as well as either Rendell or Obama, both of whom know how to soothe people to get them to act. It's just that Hillary is showing her inexperience.

24. Is this showing up on TeeVee? Or are they playing "MUM"?
The hypocracy angle, I mean. The fact that Hillary demanded that Obama denounce any link through Farrakhan (link is via pastor).

28. Rendell's a good politician...Hillary should have known better than to put him in this position
Her little Farrakhan jibes in the last debate got her what, exactly? I've never seen so much destructive short-termism out of one candidate in my life.
