This ad of hers is shameless and despicable.

http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDap46WOCmA

More fear mongering, just like a Good Republican. Hillary supporters need to explain themselves, because I don't know how any self respecting Democrat can possibly condone this disgusting campaign.

Apparently Hillary Clinton "has what it takes" to deal with a crisis.
Here is my rebuttal:

4. Yep, just when you think
They have hit bottom, they show us they can go even lower. I am sure that McCain is having a ball picking out the adds Hillary has used to go after either Obama, or if by some miracle, Hillary in the GE! She is giving him so much to use, and it won't cost him much at all to use them!

6. There is not a DAMNED thing wrong with this ad!
Only cultists can see an attack on their messiah here.

All this ad does is show a montage of the disaters and crises the USA has faced -- suddenly, without warning -- in the last 50 years. Surely -- SURELY even the most starry-eyed Obama supporter cannot deny that 9/11 was one of those crises. That means the choice is -- if you are producing this commercial -- to show the towers exploding, the towers falling, or Osama. NOTHING was said about Obama in regards to Bin Laden, nor to Katrina or Pearl Harbor or high gas prices, for that matter. These are just things a president may face.

Only paranoiacs and hypersensitive personalities see obvious connections where there are none. The point of the ad is that Hillary will know what to do in the face of an emergency on the level of those depicted.

Let Obama do a commercial showing Osama as a threat if he wants to, and watch how grown-up the response is from Hillary supporters, compared to the ravings of Obama cultists.

I swear, these Obama-fanatics remind me more and more of those paranoid, shout-them-down, blast-fax-them-into-silence, call-the-network-and complain-about-them Freepers every day.

9. This isn't an attack on Obama
Edited on Mon Apr-21-08 05:17 PM by Yael
It is an attack on *thinking* Democrats. She is playing to LIV.

Have another cuppa Terra-Flavored Koolaide.

You may think that this is just rosy, but after 8 years of this inane bullshit, some of us have moved past it.

21. Well, I hate to say it, but I kind of agree with you.
That ad pissed me off way less than some of the reprehensible shit she's pulled.

One thing though: "...to show the towers exploding, the towers falling, or Osama."

Well, those are the three images that are most iconically identified with 9-11, but wouldn't a graphic that said "September 11, 2001" have been just as effective in communicating that the events of that day are among those a President might face? Or, if brevity is your thing, "9-11-2001"?

22. Well, I have to agree that it was not evil bad
it was just sucks bad. Two very different senses of the word bad.

I'm no HRC fan and I voted for Obama in the California Primary, but I am not all gaga over Obama. For what it's worth, I did not find this ad offensive, like her bullshit about Wright and bitterness which I considered cheap, nasty and destructive.

This particular ad does indeed use video images to compliment her main campaign theme of "experience." So I'm not offended that she shows a picture of Bin Laden along with a lot of other foreign policy kinda images. Big whoop, as far as the ethics of the ad goes.

But this stupid message is what has been losing her the nomination all along and I have my doubts that it will work any better now.

The Obama fans are reacting to the similarity between Hillary's schtick here and the GOP crap from the last few election cycles. They should be glad rather than mad about this.

You wouldn't know it by how the Congressional Democrats have acted since then, but guess what? The GOP lost with this lame ass crap in 2006 -- and there is no evidence that folks are any more interested in hearing about how scary the world is now than when they turned the Republicans out of control of Congress 18 months ago.

I'm not sure that TV ads have much punch any more, as fewer and fewer people watch commercial broadcasting. And of those who do, TIVO and similar gizmos make it possible to skip the commercials.

I would definitely skip this one.
