I hope Obama wins tomorrow because, (among other things) |
|
I want to see the reaction from Chris Matthews. I do believe he will shit his pants, as he really believes HE knows the Pa. voters and who they'll vote for. Hey, he could be right, but he and many others can't seem to figure out the new dynamics of American politics.

In Tweety Bird Matthews' Pennsylvania, all the voters are middle-aged, blue-collar, overweight, Irish and Italian Catholic guys with names like Tommy, Joey and Billy.

12. You know... like 'regular white people..' |
|
just regular types... blue collar, hard workers, crown royale drinkers who hunt and bowl, and don't think for themselves...
Those types that listen to Rush L. and Joey Scarb. etc.

6. When Tweety talks about the Gritty, Ethnic, Go-their-own-way, Burly |
|
Pennsylvania voters -
Is he talking only about the men? I mean, I wouldn't think many women would like being called gritty or burly.
And are the "ethnic" people there - I assume he means white ethnic people - so unassimilated that they think of themselves as, um, Polish or Italian or whatever rather than as accountants, farmers, artists or whatever other aspects of their lives may describe them?
He sure does seem to pigeon-hole people in Pennsylvania - or is just his way of trying to think about too many variables?
